The four points are: 1-They show relevance --> they show how their experience and skills relate to the job requirements 2- They show consistency --> similar to point one...don’t show irrelevant stuff to the interviewers..be consistent 3-They practice --> never walk to an interview without practising answers to several questions.. refresh ur memory on the projects u worked on before u step into the interview so u can impress ur employer 4- They plan ahead --> how to respond to any concerns the employer might have..like age, experience..etc

I've heard going to a job interview is much like going on a date. If either goes well, you pretty much know it right away, and if it doesn't, you are often left wondering what you did wrong.

Hello Don, I am a recent subscriber. I am so grateful for your videos. I have an interview in a couple days and am studying your techniques available on KZbin. For years, I felt that I was pretty good at interviewing but have realized in the past couple that maybe I have lost some of my abilities to interview. So, I am watching, studying and trying to prepare. Again, thank you for sharing your videos.

Great Video. Thank you. From a retired filmmaker -- buy some neutral density film and put it on your windows. It will make the outside expose properly so you don't get that blown out look. Its very cheap and easy to get. Get some ND .9 film and slap it on there. Just trying to help : D

It doesn't always work that way -for example hi-tech big business. In the USA, 95% of employees at Global Foundries are Chinese, >80% are from India @ intel, but all tech was pretty much developed and taught in the USA. There was no reason to hire people from India or China especially in such excess when it comes to skills and competences. There are definitively other, hidden factors and one should be clear about this. When I looked for a job at IBM they asked me one and only one question: "Do you have connections at IBM?". My answer was "NO" so they said "Goodbye". They didn't ask me about skills, competences and shit like this.

Don hi, with full respect to your efforts through your videos, employers do not care about we say during an interview bcz they already read our resume and got some ideas about our experience & skills. They just take an interview as a procedure when theres any vacancy to show their adherence to the organization's policy ! I have been through different interviews and got good signs from interviewers but after each interview no body called me and when I followed up they did not respond to my emails ! I think I need to change my strategy now, otherwise I don't think I am going to get hired forever !please give me your opinion Don ?

Whilst your general advice and analysis of the most common interviews is laudable and undeniably useful the reference to 'lack of consistency...means your shady' betrays a very shallow understanding of emotional intelligence. I am aware that you frequently give sales examples so perhaps the lack of understanding and 'one size-fits-all methodology originates from that competitive environment. Where your advice flounders is upon the parallels between evasive job seekers and criminals? This is very unsympathetic and alienates and misrepresents candidates who experience social anxiety or other cognitive disabilities and barriers.
@Ha765326 жыл бұрын
Thanks John for reaching out. I understand that there are many different types of people and the way that they interview, because there are sometimes other factors that are in play. I am trying to coach and point out issues that I have personally dealt with or issues I have seen from the many of people that I coached. I am not in any way saying this is the end all, be all for interviewing, just pointing out one facet of the issues I have seen firsthand. Best, Don
