I made your mama's chicken and dressing a week ago and put it up in the freezer for Christmas. Of course we tasted it first and it is good! Can't wait for Christmas Day! Thank you Tammy!

I don’t like my celery and onion sautéed either.i like granny’s dressing with cranberry sauce.

To dice is to cut in small cubes try to get all near the same size. If you don’t it will not cook the same. Some will be done some won’t that’s why to try to dice evenly. I’ve never heard dice mean anything else.

I found your KZbin channel last year and saw your crockpot Turkey and Dressing so having never made crockpot dressing I tried it. I tested the recipe a couple of times to get it right and then made it for Thanksgiving and also Christmas. I cookThanksgiving and Christmas for my entire family and have since I was 20 years old. Your crockpot dinner was a hit with everyone. I make my dressing more like your Grandmother so I was a bit worried about my family liking the crockpot way so since it was a hit I am making it again this Thanksgiving. I do not add the potatoes and green beans to the crockpot. I make mashed potatoes and a green bean casserole separately. Thanks so much for your Thanksgiving recipes. I love cooking them and adding my “twist “ to them. Have a Happy Thanksgiving with your family.

Stuffing is my kryptonite. I can avoid breads the whole year, but when Thanksgiving rolls (mmm. Homemade rolls or those golden rolls in sections) around, bread comes back. All 4 made me drool.

Tammy, didn't have ingredients to make dressing so I tore up heels of bread loaves and any left over breads bits into a pot on stove that had melted butter and softened onion, added beef broth to just cover, celery seasoning and black pepper. Unfortunately it was mush like and glutenous however the flavor was there, can it be fixed? I want to recreate homemade stove top stuffing.

I’ve always cooked my onions and celery in my broth I use to make my dressing! I also have always made few really crunchy biscuits to add to my cornbread! I enjoy your channel! ;))

I used about 10 home made biscuits last year. They had been frozen so they were very crunchy. My mom said it tasted like my paternal grandmother's dressing, which is to say, a bit more "country" and old fashioned. This year I used cubed bread and a sleeve of Ritz crackers and it tasted more up-to-date - more like my maternal grandmother's dressing and my mom's - BINGO!

Tammy can you explain in your last recipe all in the crockpot turkey dinner, when you chopped the celery then you ran a knife through it and said diced celery. Why wouldn't you just dice it right from the beg. the celery? You know cut the stalks into thinner stalks and then cut across celery with knife making small dice? What i am asking is why chop celery first into slices then cut across the celery for dices? And can you tell me in your own words what dice means to you? Thanks
