I believe Cthonia is pronounced with a hard C, like Cthulu, not like Celery. It's how the Audibooks pronounce it and seeing as Gothic is inspired by Latin, whereby the C is always a K sound, it should be pronounced Kthonia.

They have one of my favourite pre-heresy colour schemes. The marble armour look is very nice and it always interested me that so many of the early legions wore grey to bone-white power armour with varying trim colours. It makes me wonder if the unified Terran legions wore white armour as standard.

The luna wolves - my favourite legion, although only loken officially survived the massacre it's possible other loyalist sons of horus cast down the name and took back the luna wolves name - as loken and the other loyalist sons of horus did. It's not impossible to make a chapter based on the loyalist remnants. - Although the closet in lore and colours would be grey knights - due to loken going in that direction. Luna wolves are seriously awesome, I'd like to think they could crusade and regain their name. However IF they did somehow survive as a splintered loyalist remnants, horus's geneseed would doom them. (unless they slowly found a way to filter that out in new recruits with another primarchs geneseed). It's not impossible and that's all I need ^_^ Love them!

A common misconception about the black legion is that it was the sons of Horus renamed, when in truth the sons were desimated during the slave wars and the black legion is in back the remainder force of sons of Horus and elements of the other legions who wanted to continue the long war as a competent fightin force. Thanks. Something that confused me was that Space Marines are supposedly only supposed to be preteen or early teen boys because they needed to coordinate with the growth of the gene seed, while other sources claimed that they only recruited the meanest, toughest bastards around, up to and including Underhive gang members. I was wondering if that was a retcon, a plot hole, different capability levels of Apothecaries, or if some Underhives have a particularly nasty juvenile delinquency problem. I also wondered how that would go in Ultramar, which supposedly is one of the few regions where the standard of living was decently high across the board.

i think they can't do the full space marine remodel in adults but they can use some bionic implants and cybernetics to improve humans to a close level to astartes through a different procedure, though i would guess it is more expensive/dangerous/takes too long and only done to people important to the primarch, like Erebus and Kor Phaeron who were Lorgars teacher and foster father respectively

I cannot remember the name of the guy but there was a friend and co commander of Lion El Johnsen who became a space marine as an adult after they encountered the emperor but he was not considered a full space marine (even though he had the ability to hold off a primarch - so i say he is powerful enough). It is also worth noting that the ability to use adults as neophytes could be simply because of the gene seed of the Luna wolves.
