You are in an abandoned mine from 1932, standing in a 4 way intersection of tunnels. The mine is completely pitch dark except for a weirdly modern miner’s helmet laying on the floor at an angle, still on somehow. It illuminates the room very slightly, casting the light into the tunnel to the right of you, fading and eventually hitting the side wall. The tunnel seems to go on forever. You decide to tread through the tunnel. as you approach a weird flickering purple glow around the corner, you hear this sound growing nearer and nearer. Your vision starts to darken, the same shade of purple drawing a fading vendetta around the edges of your eyes. Then, just as you’re about to turn the corner, the purple glow cuts out entirely, the miner’s hat flickers out, and the noise abruptly stops, only to reveal a small set of glowing red eyes in the dark right in front of you. They seem to be free from a body, but you still feel the presence of one. The noise slowly fades in again, but this time completely inside of your brain. The noise slowly becomes accompanied by higher and higher harmonics, making an oddly beautiful and angelic but also dissonant and uncanny sound. As it quickly swells, and you see the eyes glowing more and more intensely, you black out. No one knows what happened to you except that thing. Not even you. You’re stuck in the blackout with the sounds swelling and shrinking at random, forever.
