Do you have idea how to protect inverters from accidental overloads. Currently i use overcurrent/voltage protector at ac out of the inverter. But I doubt it works. seems slow to response. any comments really appreciated.

What I have experienced is that sudden current spikes due to inductive loads such as water pumps are the main cause of overload failure of these chinese inverters(even the once that are considered good brands) regardless of the capacity of the inverter. So my best advice is not to load the inverter with inductive loads. Over current protection at the AC side is the correct way to go.. I guess a good brand with a specified response time could save your equipment. Again stay away from cheap brands with no specifications

I have an inverter with 20n50a FETs 2 of them are faulty. There are four smd diodes between G and S pins of each FETs. One of them is faulty. It is not a zener according to the mark. No number, could you please tell me a suitable diode?

Can you please share your contact number or email. I had 2.5kw 24v inverter which I may not able to diagnose the fault. When I check the primary side mosfets, they all are ok, even the secondary side fast diodes and igbts as well. The fault is, as soon as we connect it to load it shows short circuit fault in the display. No matter how small is the load. As soon as we remove the load it shows perfect sine wave with 240v AC. Highly appreciate your valuable help.! 😌
