Hi John, I am subscribed to all your channels, so they come up in my list and I never look at the titles, I just click on them and get my information direct from you when I am watching your video. I am typing this out and had to watch the video because I had not looked at the title and could not see the title because I write my comments in word so that I can do a word check because of my terrible spelling now. The point is that most of your video watchers will be subscribed and will get your videos in a queue so just keep on making the videos and to hell with the idiots that are accusing you of using click bate.

I have zero issue with what you did. Its marketing 101 and it helps pay the bills. It grabs peoples attention and gets them to walk in the door. And it gets the attention of people that don't follow you. In your case it gets more of your followers that are casual followers to re-engage. Nice play. Keep up the good work.

This actually makes me wonder if it's the age old "people want drama" rather than just clickbait. So many TV shows have used drama to draw viewers, and it's expected with some. My example is from Discovery Channel's Orange County Choppers show, the drama between father and son. That certainly drew a lot of viewers to the show.. NASCAR even used drama at one point to draw in spectators. That being said, this video with no thumbnail and the answer to life, the universe and everything as the title was certainly a draw. Our history tells us, without doubt, that the public wants drama. Clickbait is just one way to express that drama.

Hadn't seen that before but I also like your channel so when I saw who posted it I probably would have watched regardless, but that's just me, I' don't give a shit about click bait, if I get bored, I leave the video, if not, I stay. Being disappointed is more important to me than the "lie". There are some popular KZbinrs that use clever titles and thumbnails but the content is poor and disappointing.
