Thank you very much for your videos. My wife and I and our two children rented a narrowboat in June 1983 - just a few weeks before our youngest daughter was born. We had a wonderful time, with our 5-year old son helping with all the locks. I am looking forward to watching some more of your videos now...

I think this is your nicest video yet, and they've all been great. Such awesome scenery, and a wonderful choice of music: unintrusive compliment to the natural beauty and sights. Up at 5:30? My, that seems a tad late as dawn is 4:30ish 🙂. But morning is the best time by far, probably less so with extra tourists on the go. Still, come off season it woud be better. The metal cover is for security so no one can try and steal your boat. Not sure a rain cover will work

Thankfully we've not experienced either. Although I tend to cut all the grass between the bank and the boat once we've moored and keep all rubbish to a minimum etc. I like to think the dogs also help, although they'd both run off! 👍🏻😂 Thanks for watching.

Those were probably Voles which are protected, they are trying to re introduce them to the British waterways, I live in West Virginia and we have wood rats that were thought extinct almost, and are protected, so not all rats are the same

Good vlog, pity when they built the cover on the clocks they didn’t use hinges the same as side duck hatch, then once unlocked you could just slide the cover off totally best of both worlds then 👍
