Used to have rookies drop empty flatbeds too high. Had to have fork lift drivers (2) lift front of loaded trailer s up to dolly down to hook. They were cement bags on pallets HEAVY.

I enjoy your videos. I know very little about trucking but have learned much from you about the day to day operation an owner operator goes thru. I have the utmost respect for PROFESSIONAL truckers who deliver the good we need. Like all occupation, there is the "steering wheel holders", that make the REAL truckers look bad.

Blow air in the vent tube of your fuel tank and give few minutes will all go to the opposite side FYI...

That ole pete is still a great looking old truck..i like it because you got just enough done to it to make it look real.nice. you didnt go over board with huge stacks and lights all over the sides and under the truck..but still a very nice old truck. I carried 16 ten foot 5/16 chains in my covered wagon. Of course I hauled 99% steel coils skidded and stand up. By far my favorite commodity to haul.

Usually I roll forward a bit before lowering the rear suspencion, so that the fift wheel don't risk pulling the trailer down through the kinpin. Just make the whole process much smoother.

I didn't know that about the IFTA paperwork I'm one of those guy's going inside with the book of everything LOL, I will try that next time but I too rarely get pulled in cause I try and keep truck looking good and mechanically sound.

Make sure your rubber hoses on your tank vent are completely free of debris inside.. a little bit of trash will make your tanks offset on equalize

Try jacking up the sleeper to see if you can get the tube out. Use the leveling valve and max it out or a little jack.

Tried those Teflon disc before in time hole that goes on to fifth wheel pin gets bigger. And had to take it off. Plus takes the clearance between fifth wheel and trailer. If you get into rough terrain. Got brand new one sitting at home. Free of charge.

The round Teflon fifth wheel plates are nothing but trouble I went to my local truck parts store and they had a big white square one that attrition the fifth wheel plate with self tapping screws It’s been on 5 or 6 years and not one problem with it It’s a bit more expensive but has lasted a long time
