Welcome to HK. I was so impressed to see u guys enjoy your stay in HK with a very tight budget. As a Hongkonger, honestly the living costs in HK is high, I was so amazed u guys made it and even under budget. As for the ticket, u bought in the MTR station, remember to choose your final destination, they always count point to point, not the line. Be aware, cause if u get the wrong ticket and they find out may cost a penalty fee of HKD$1000. However, it will be more convenient if u bought an Octopus card. It's very common in HK to use this card, not only for all the transportations in HK, except taxi but also for shopping either. And it will more easy for u to tap when u get in and out the station. U can buy it at the mtr station with I think around HKD$50 deposits, u can top up at all the convenience stores, MTR stations and some department stores. When u leaves HK just return to one of the MTR station, including the station in the airport and u can receive the money u left in the Octopus card. Besides, if u use Octopus to travel with MTR it will be a bit cheaper than u buy a one-way ticket. The area u guys stay called Tsim Sha Tsui and Temple Street belongs to Yau Tsim Mong District, are mostly a popular Tourist destination which the consumption index will be quite high, just like the K11 mall u saw mostly are luxury brands. Therefore, next time when u come to HK may try to stay in other town's hotel, as HK transports planning are quite well u can travel to most place in an hour. For example, Tsuen Wan is a town with convenience transportation to many HK places with various consumption levels. If u go to the malls, it will a bit expensive such as few hundreds for a proper meal, but if u walk around the suburbs u can see some locals stores, with fair price of groceries, foods etc. There're also a hawkers market and wet market in Tsuen Wan center, which may let u know the local lifestyle more. Also, there's a place call Lok Tak Court which is a famous food street, within different food shop and street food store, such as HKD$8 for a bowl of tofu dessert. Besides, next time if u would like to cross the harbor u may take the star ferry, it will be much cheaper, only HKD$5 from the TST pier to Central pier. And in HK island u may take the tram with only HKD$3. Both of them are historical and also an iconic in HK, but the cons is they're a bit time consuming, u need to spend more time on travel. Moreover, u may take a airport bus to city start with "no.A" base on which part of the city u go to choose different "A" bus, they are much cheaper than the airport line with around HKD$2-30, but also they a bit longer travel time. For the food, the Temple Street restaurant u went is a fair price nowadays in HK, if u choose to enjoy HK style dishes. I would recommend u guys to try Rice with two sides, it's very popular in HK now. It's good bargain, maximum is HKD$50 u can choose around 3 dishes with a huge proportion of rice, definitely u will feel full. It just like a kind of buffet with various Cantonese dishes, just they normally not written in English, but u can see the dish and point to choose it. Obviously assorted rice with two sides stores quality maybe varied, I personally will recommend Kuen Fat kitchen in Yau Ma Tei, Nathan road with fair proportions, delicious taste and good quality. There're even a rice with two sides google map made by a group of HKers that located mostly all the rice with sides stores in HK with let people find a closet store that suit themselves. Next time, u guys may try more food e.g.HK style milk tea, wonton noodle, chinese desserts soups, egg waffle, different kinds of dim sum like BBQ pork bun etc, they all quite can represent HK food. The siu mai is one of the significant street food in HK and it have a friend called fishball also significant in HK street food, and it have curry or original flavor to choose. I hope these recommendations may helpful and let u understand more while u travel to HK next time. P.S. Good to know u guys went to the vintage market in Sheung wan, it's quite unique not many people know this place even the locals. Also, remember to bargain with the hawkers in HK before u purchase, particularly in Temple street, Tung Choi street, Fa Yuen street and Ladies' Market. The hawkers always mark higher price. All the best:)

With low budget you can always find some delicious Chinese Barbecue meat with rice, it's around $25-50 HKD, depends on the area you are in...You can have some warm food and actually get full all day by that.

Yes, you can definitely live like a hobo in Hong Kong. Instead of taking the MTR in Hong Kong, you can actually use the local tram (Ding Ding) for $2 each way, taking the Star Ferry to cross the harbor sometimes is free.

Anyway, now i know, what @reanne's chinese birth year is.. 😊 mine is year of the tiger 🐅 wonder what is her zodiac sign is? 🤔😅 Watching your vlog is like you are bringing us (your viewers) along with you & thank you for this.. Your accomodation is tiny. I would feel claustrophobic! No wonder it smells like weed. You need to be high to stay there for a long time. I wouldn’t have bargain on the tshirt either. She’s old and had a little sign of 20. You guys didn’t get any white rice with the chicken and lemon. That’s what those little bowls are for…. white rice and you add a little bit this and that. I heard the living conditions in that huge building are horrible… :( That game set is Majong. Every Chinese person I know plays it. LOL! The guy put your charm in a red lucky envelope. The yellow dumplings you got looks like siu mai which is pork and shrimp that you dip into ginger soy sauce. I love seafood so I love it!

You got the ticket to wrong destination, in HK you have to chose your final destination if you buy one way ticket. Cos it costs different to different places. And you should’ve get the Hk Oyster card called Octopus card. We actually invented this kind of electronic traffic card. It got 50hkd deposit, you can return it to any MTR station before u leave HK, there will be 10 hkd charge if u returned the card in short time. But still worthy. Cos u can actually use octopus many places in HK without carrying many coins. Including 7-11/McDonald’s/ even the ice cream truck u see. The ice cream truck u see is actually a historical, we eat that since we are kids. However, hope you enjoyed Hong Kong and welcome to Hong Kong again. Next time you can go some like Causeway bay/ Mong Kok. P.s. it called MTR not MRT.🤪 and not sue me is sue my closer.
