This is my new favorite kitchen tool! Day 1 I was going to pressure cook a meat kzbin.infoUgkxG-7WiT7ocumjytOpHDFt632PL0pxXRAg and potato stew, decided I wouldn't eat it that night so I went with a slow cook so I could go to bed and put it away in the morning. I love that versatility! The sauté feature works great and adds tons of extra flavor to dishes, and I can easily sizzle meats in the bottom then deglaze for some restaurant worthy flavors.Big bonus - you can cook a whole frozen chicken in about 2 hours. Amazing! I've seen a couple videos, haven't tried it yet, but I will soon!

I just bought an instant pot knockoff on clearance and I have been having a ball experimenting with it. My #1 eureka moment was when I FINALLY perfected the method for soft centered "ramen eggs" 😋. Starting with 1 cup boiled water, pressure cook the eggs for 1 minute follow with 3.5 minutes natural release. Quick release at end of 3.5 minutes and shock in ice water bath and enjoy
@Lavenderrose73 Жыл бұрын
Oh you totally rock! I recently bought my own instant pot and started with eggs at 4 minutes with quick release because I had watched a video showing how to do it for 5 minutes and I like mine soft boiled so I thought I'd take it down a minute and then gradually decrease one minute at a time until I have it to where I like it. I just took a screenshot of your instructions and can't wait to try that myself! 😊😊😊🍜🥂

Since you are moving in a tiny home with no oven another game changer is an air fryer. I have the Cuisinart which has the A racks and a pan with a shallow basket to cook fries etc. it is not the basket pullout type. You can warm, broil, toast, Bake and air fry. Saves so much space and I love it .

I've found a use for both the harder boiled and the more tender pressure cooked eggs. I commonly make deviled eggs. They reqiure a more rigid white for handling. While making egg salad, I want my eggs delicate and smoother on the tongue. Your experiment shows both perfect methods. Thank you.

I get fresh eggs from a friend and they are from different types of chickens. It's hard to get them all even but they are all good. I think I"ll try this method instead of the 3-4-4 method I have been using and see if that helps. They shells are much thinner than the store bought eggs but they are really really orange and much tastier. And did you notice that the headline for what i assume is yogurt say loaded potato soup?

For the cajun sausage with rice dish, I suggest also adding chicken cut up in bit sized pieces. This will make this almost like authentic cajun jambalaya. Also in place of pork sauage if you can find andouille sausage, it will make it a tad bit more spicy. Personally I do not care for the extra spice so I use pork (and I also add a beef sausage for a bit different flavor). You can add or remove whatever you want from this recipe to suit one's own taste.

I am White & only wash Basmati or Texmati rice-never regular Mahatma rice. This is what my dear mother taught me. Take heart, it has not killed me yet! I must say I don’t own an IP, but own a Presto stovetop pressure cooker I received as a gift from Mom. 2nd Presto in 40 years. First one got warped by one of my sons. I don’t know how they did that-no one confessed! Most of your recipes seem like they’d workin a stovetop pressure cooker just fine. The bad news is you need to be in the kitchen while your stovetop pressure cooker is operating. You may need to adjust the flame. It forces me to sit down, not a bad thing. Also, my new Presto has a thick bottom for browning without burning, and it seems to come to full pressure more quickly than an IP. Sorry that I don’t wash much rice, ha-ha. Must be a White thing! 🤣

No wonder these things are so intimidating. I've watched a few videos and have yet to hear an explanatiin about "natural release," etc or any other BASICS
@Tyneebopper2 ай бұрын
Hey there. Natural release just means that you are not releasing the steam right away. You’re letting it settle down on its own, so you won’t need to release steam before opening. Otherwise, quick release just means you’re turning the knob to release the steam. They’re really not that scary 😊.

Please all you chicken tender cookers cut off those terribly hard & chewy tendons on the end of those tenders. It only takes a quick sec to remove it. Put the blade of your paring knife almost flat, but slightly towards the tendon. Just move your knife down the tendon until you reach the end. It is very simple, leaves the tender enjoyable end to end & your family or guests aren't left with this disgusting wad in their mouths that they feel uncomfortable spitting out.
