At first I was hesitant with the compensation that was needed to get a deal like this, then after Bonta laid out the type of player that he is on the field, I think he’d be a great addition for Jayden Daniels on the outside. Sure it’ll be pricey but I trust Adam could manage those expenses on the cap.

Hell no. He's not even the type of wr Washington needs currently. He's not a deep ball threat. He's a possession receiver like mclaurin. Plus wr is the last position I'm worried about. Oline/edge/secondary in that order should be the only focus right now. Not overpaying a wr who gets schemed open with a loaded box. He's an incredible blocking receiver tho. I’ll give him that.

No sale. Even if I could get Aiyuk with minimal draft compensation, he would blow out the cap at WR. And of course, he will NOT be available for minimal draft compensation. Like the player, just not a fit.

Aiyuk for minimal draft compensation, is tempting but he wants a mega deal, and we have other holes more pressing...OL n CB n DE for that matter...all factors would have to fall into place...I will say I think and JD5 are pushing for it...cool as long as it doesnt cost me Terry, Jahan, or McCaffery...lets see it play out...oh yeah Davis, Martin, n Chin will true Dogs because the build up around em...Luvu n Wags will infect and inject new Life into them while cleaning up behind one hell of a DLine rotation...

At first I was like no to bringing in Aiyuk, but after further review I think team can afford to pay him around 30 mil front load the contract and get it done while Jayden Daniels is still on a rookie deal. Aiyuk is one of best route runners & one of best blockers in NFL. Plus Washington only legit WR is Terry, we dont really know bout Jahan Dotson or Luke McCaffrey. Aiyuk is a dog & got instant chemistry with Daniels which would put Dotson in slot.

I said elsewhere that I don't think the team makes the deal. It doesn't fit their build plan. Signing a WR to that type of contract with Terry making 20m, it's a bit much. They would have 50m plus at the position. The NFL Draft is loaded with WRs.

Forbes had a rough first year, I could see him being sent to SF, if Washington did want Aiyuk.. obviously it would be more than just Forbes ( but he technically was a 1st round pick, just last year..) Jonathan Allen to Cincy for Tee Higgins makes more sense for both teams, imo -AP wouldnt have to give up picks either.. I think Washington just rolls with the team they have this year and roll that cap space over

Dotson and 2nd or 3rd for Aiyuk. Gives 49ers breathing room on cap space while getting a present and future comp. BUT, Aiyuk would have to be willing to not get the big pay bump until next season so Wash can still go after a LT like Bakhtiari. How far will the friendship get Wash on that? who knows.But if they could get that done, Wash would immediately be better. It will excite the fan base and show our rook QB front office willing to do whatever they can to help him. Either way JD is headed to Cali for the 6 week break and said Mariota and Wash receivers will join him in some player organized practices out there...........will 9ers be there watching and comparing Dotson?
