4c HAIR WASH&GOS | DAY 80 OF 365 DAYS | Hair Wash&Set Part 2

This is how I smooth my hair with the Innersense I Create Hold Gel on top of Kinky Curly Curling Custard.
I'm using this combination for 7 weeks now and love how soft the gel cast. I believe the definition could last me at least 10 days, but I choose to wash my hair every 5-6 days.
1.) Key to a very well defined washngo is to start with a moisturising gel, a gel that contains a good portion of humectant ingredients. That's why I used KCCC as a base gel.
2.) Then you need/use a second gel for further definition and hold. It's very important to have a good gel cast. Other the clumped curl will frizz out too soon. Innersense ICH gel has the name branded: It create super hold, without leaving a crispy dry feeling.
A little goes a long way, since the gel is concentrated and needs to be used with water.

But if you can master your wash&gos to last 7-12 days without experiencing dry hair, I’m sure it’s worth the drying time. Often, you can activate the gels (+ leave-ins) when your hair is lightly moist from the shower steam. 😇

Does aunt Jackie’s gel have the same/ similar hold as innersence or is it much weaker

The Aunt Jackie’s gel is weaker. But really depends on your hair’s texture, curl type and what you pair it with. ❤️

Thank you! 😊 Yes I have. I’ve used underneath Aunt Jackie’s Iced Curls Gel and also underneath Innersense I Create Hold Gel. I just didn’t like the hard gel cast together with ICH. I’m a fan of soft gel casts with definition and hold, especially when it’s not a humid season. Kinky Curly Curling Custard has similar ingredients to UFD gel, if you compare the back of the ingredient list. The formulation is just different. So I think it’s nice to explore more options. 😊 Any “moisturising” gel that contains many humectant ingredients like aloe vera gel/juice, agave nectar and glycerin could do wonders underneath ICH, since it freezes the curls very nice in place. ❤️

Do you add leave in conditioner or a creme prior to gel??

No, I don’t add leave-in conditioner or creams. Just two gels. One is a moisturising gel that has many humectant and keeps the hair moisturised. The second gel is for further hold. So that the styling lasts for many days. Hope it helps or just ask if you have any further questions. 😊

@@naturalcurls4life576 Ok. ☺️ The Innersense ICH gel is a very concentrated strong hold gel. It’s best to use a very moisturising gel high in humectants (aloe vera, glycerin, agave) before you later it on top. If it doesn’t work out with the flax seed gel, buy Kinky Curly Curling custard, Mielle Curling custard, Uncle Funky’s Daughter Curly Magic, KeraCare Curling Jelly or Camille Rose Curl Maker for example.
