補足 : 07:43 , 49:58 行き違い駅に おける、短く途切れた線路 → 「安全側線」 NOTE : The weird Turn-Out ( Points ) in the Passing-Loop → About the ""Catch Points"" ( Trap Points ) ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E5%AE%89%E5%85%A8%E5%81%B4%E7%B7%9A en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catch_points In a Passing-Loop ( or Siding , branch lines etc ) Especially on Single-track lines , If the train Passing a signal at danger ( SPAD ) , It risks a Head-On collision with an oncoming train. To prevent that , The Turn-Out ( Points ) forces the train into a Sand Drag / Car Stop to Derail and Stop. It then diverts the train in a direction other than the Main-Line to prevent a collision. It's a ""Catch Points"" ( Trap Points ) the railway safety devices . It is based on the old idea that ""Derailing a train"" is less damaging than ""a Head-on collision"" . But , ・The train may be overturned or buckle ( Jackknifing ) . ・The train may cause an unexpected derailment and block the Main-Line. ・The derailment of a high-speed train could endanger homes and equipment in the vicinity. ・Most importantly, they risk endangering the passengers on board. So It has been replaced by improving of safety devices (ATS/ATC) .
Beautiful. Please continue to mesmerise us with your work. Thank you!

A couple of comments: 1. The KiHa 85 series train set that run this route will be replaced in 2022 with the new HC85 series train set, a diesel-electric hybrid unit. The HC85 prototype has been doing test runs since the beginning of 2020. 2. It should be noted that foreigners who ride this train between Nagoya and Shingu with the Japan Rail Pass must pay a special extra free (I believe it's around ¥800) because part of the route of this train travels on non-JR tracks.

Great quality video. Reminds me of all the countless train rides I took while I spent 2 months in Japan during the blazing hot summer of 1994. So much fun that trip was!

The soft mount or gimbal is adding a whole new authenticity level to your videos. We see how the engine moves on small bumps or on track joints. A rigid mound would never offer such an authentic view. Thank you!

Honestly, this is the best office view ever. Could you do a video on how you became a train driver, what kind of education and training is required, if you start right away in trains like that or in smaller routes, etc
Thanks for the video.very nice place and I have been there in 2018.

I noticed Japan’s famous “bullet trains” in the video. I’m intrigued by these but have to admit I’m afraid of going so fast. This was a nice relaxing production and thank you very much.

The Shinkansen only goes 320km/h or 198mp/h, thats slower than a Plane wich goes between 880 - 925km/h. The Shinkansen is additionaly only 20km/h faster than Germany's High Speed Rail Network (Wich goes at around 300km/h on avarage).

@@Techischannel • Air travel doesn’t bother me for two reasons - relativity and motion; and collisions with numbskulls who don’t yield to the train.

Im impressed with the length of some of the tunnels. What concern me is the fact that the train must be powered with a diesel engine which raises concern of the exhaust building up in those tunnels so I would assume that other trains coming from either direction must be spaced so that the exhaust fumes would not create a hazard for passengers. seeing these railway videos i get all the anime vibes, when dude xy has to go to far remote village and be in summer holidays there, experiencing all those adventures etc.
It sure sounds like a Cummins engine, similar to those in KiHa 11 cars

I'm JP, but I still love Aussi and KIWI trains. Thank you!
At first I thought a 2 stroke scooter went by in the background when it was starting to move. Took me a while to realise it was the train engine :) I don’t like diesels but at least that made me laugh. Got something out of it.
Its one of them vids i watch over and over love it.

The lights are always on but in the darkened tunnel, most cameras aren't sensitive enough to pick up the details, especially if they're just using the camera on a cell phone to record.

Where is everybody? I get that this is an express train, but I'm talking about more than just the lack of people at the stations. There are hardly any people walking or driving around. Was this filmed on a Sunday or something? It's weird seeing so many houses and so few people.

how fast are these train allowed to drive on these tracks. Seems relatively slow, maybe around 80kmh?
@khamronsingame2 жыл бұрын
The max speed should be 120 km/h. It just seems slow since we're viewing it from a camera. Of course, it will need to slow down in curves.

There was never one. The line was built with future double tracking in mind but they never got around to it since it doesn't get a lot of traffic. Half the line has been double-tracked but the latter half is still single-tracked for the foreseeable future.

@@khamronsingame Interesting My guess was that it was downsized because demand declined due to extensions of the Shinkansen network.
