So there's two things I'd like to point out about this upload that eagle eye'd viewers might spot, but many probably won't. First, the aircraft shown at HNL is not the exact aircraft used for this flight. The exact aircraft, N78008, was blocked by jet bridges and other airport equipment, and I couldn't get shots of it. Luckily, there was another 777 in the same livery just a few gates down, so I included it to show the aircraft type. And second, There is a short portion of the takeoff that is actually from a different flight. So, just a brief backstory. You've seen one flight from HNL-SFO on Untied's 777 already this year. However, that was actually the second time in less than 2 weeks that I took that flight. This is actually the first of the two flights. When I took this flight, I had a very rare camera malfunction, where it froze up, and wouldn't let me record for nearly 2 minutes. Normally this isn't too big of a deal. But here, because of when it happened, it was a huge deal. It happened right as we turned onto the runway and full power was applied. My camera stopped working at the most important part of the flight. So, I couldn't post a "full flight" video with the first two minutes of the takeoff missing... I literally flew all the way back to Hawaii, booked the same exact flight, in the same exact seat, with the same exact aircraft and livery, just to reproduce that 2 minutes of video. So, the first minute or two of this takeoff is actually from a different flight, so if you notice the small edit, that's why. I was not wasting this whole flight because of a camera malfunction 😂.

There is one other thing that puzzles me and that is at the final section of taxiing coming up to the gate at the end of the flight, the aircraft stops short, the engines are shut down and then the aircraft is moved by some other means to its final parking position. Why didn't the pilot complete the parking using his engines?

It is very unfortunate. But, I did the best I could to reproduce it, and the clouds being different is really the only noticeable change. I'm still working on getting the footage form this most recent trip processed. When you film 2.5TB worth of footage, it's crazy, you then need 2.5TB worth of free space to store it haha. I have plenty of space, I just need a lot of that data moved to different places and it takes a long time to transfer those amounts of data. Hopefully I can get that out sometime this week haha! Wow... good views of HNL and also of the south Bay Area. Good view of the San Andreas Fault. I feel jet lagged from watching t video. Yesterday, on The Bold and the Beautiful, Steffy, Finn and their children flew from Monaco to LAX on a private jet, an 11-hour flight with a 9-hour time zone change. Yet, they had no trace of jet lag when they got home! I need to learn their secret for coping with that kind of flight. Sheesh! That family is TOUGH!! It's like James Bond when he flies halfway around the world and never gets jetlag. In Diamonds or Forever, he goes from AMS to LAX with not a lick of jet lag when he gets to LA. Don't know how James Bond does it. Anyhow, I followed all instructions given by the flight crew.

They do sound good, don't they? I agree but, they're actual GE90 engines on this 777. GE GE90-92B to be exact. This was filmed while all of Untied's P&W engined 777's were still grounded. Thanks for watching my friend!

I flew a UAL 777 out Denver for SFO and we had to stay low for fire fighting a/c when got near the mtns ATC told them to "expedite your climb" and Boy did we! Some scared but most excited!

Sadly, my arms do not have links to them online haha. I typically hold the camera by hand, even on long flights. That said, I do travel with one of these: www.rammount.com/part/RAM-B-166-UN10U I don't use it to aurally connect to the plane though. If I'm using it, it's to extend my reach on a seat like the one in this video.

Well, if you get motion sickness super easily, then I'd recommend some ginger pills, Dramamine, or as miss c said, Benzodiazapines. But, I understand that some people don't like taking opioids like Xanax. Which is why I listed the others. My wife gets motion sickness easily and she typically finds Dramamine to work pretty well. If you're not specifically talking about motion sickness. And are more worried about the general experience of flying, then try not to worry too much. Flying is extremely safe, and is statistically the safest way to travel.
