Can the USB-C be used for video out? Is it possible to install TrueNAS or alternate Linux distro on the eMMC?

Good Questions, USB-C cannot be used as video out. Generally if you have a NAS with HDMI-Out you can use TrueNAS etc from a flashdrive. We don't support 3rd party OS installations on eMMC.

Yes, but of course both RAM slots are ECC compatible. The modules used in the video are only for demonstration purposes.
