I live in Daytona Beach, and have flown on the Delta flight to DAB several times. It's very common for the plane to smash into the runway. I don't know why this happens since the runway is over 10k feet long.

They landed on 16 which is 6,001 feet in length making it rather short. They have to plant it to use as much runway as possible to slow down.

The other day I was coming back from Vegas to LA on a United Boeing 737-900 and when it touched the ground it wasn't too hard, but when brakes were applied it felt terrible and never ending. It used the entire runway to stop. I was in line 8 window seat.

Did you shoot in Linear or Wide?

All my videos are shot in linear mode. Wide, let alone superwide, show too much of the windown frame. Honestly, i wish 'linear' was the medium mode and there was a more zoomed option!

@@AviationManiak Yeah, at least on the Airbus that’s the case with wide and up. And you didn’t get a side to side panning effect or the wing jumping all around with Linear when the plane is turning? You got lucky, when I recorded in linear on the 8 one time it happened to me and in march when I first used the 11 it happened to me in wide. I think it was because I did 60fps on both since that doesn’t happens when I do 30fps in the 8 but haven’t tried 30 in the 11. In the 11 people told me that’s the hypersmooth acting up and that I should turn it off but I still need stabilization of course🤷🏻‍♂️.

His approach speed seemed rather faster than what you would normally expect. Maybe he hadn’t set full flap causing the approach and hence the landing speed to be a tad on the fast side.
