My rebel 500 is perfect for me. At 67 just the right size not to small and not to big. I am not about speed. For what it is it does well on the interstate traveling the speed limit no problem no vibration.
@MotoMedicine9042 жыл бұрын
It is a great smooth running bike for sure. Only thing I wish that could happen is the 500 could also have the 270 degree crank like the Rebel 1100 does. Then it would have that rumble it deserves.

Love the mod that keeps your turn arrows flashing so you notice your speedo better. Also that guy that pulls on you when you lane split is a dick. Hate when people do that. Totally unnecessary.
@MotoMedicine9043 жыл бұрын
The turn canceling feedback in the switch is awful on this bike 😂

Great video. I just got a Rebel 500 ABS SE and I'm in San Diego! I'm pretty good with electrical, let me know if you need a hand.

How much you paid for it out the door?

Man - you got a very bad habit of leaving your indicators on after you make a turn. Could get you into serious trouble some day. Take care.
@MotoMedicine9043 жыл бұрын
I wouldnt say it's a habbit. Watch my other videos and you'll see this was never an issue until I got the Rebel.. The one thing that irritates me about this bike is the indicator switch button is soft and you'll think you've pressed it in all the way but it hasnt.

I'm in the market for Rebel 500.. but also like the 650CB

Well....two different styles for sure and way different power categories. Have you looked at the new Rebel 1100?

Hi there! Just found your channel and appreciate you sharing your mods. I have a 2020 Rebel 500 and can only get to 21/23 mph in first. Is it possible that your front sprocket was changed by the previous owner? How many teeth does yours have?
@MotoMedicine9042 жыл бұрын
The bike was 100% stock gearing

Would this be a good starter bike?

Absolutely
@timothyforsythe31552 жыл бұрын
Yes go for it
@MotoMedicine9042 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. In my opinion I would skip the 300 all together. The 500 is docile enough to begin on and has the extra oomph you'll need for longer distances at higher speeds.

Unfortunately I don't have any info on it. It has no details stamped on it and I got it from someone who is selling theirs
@jasonwillmott51313 жыл бұрын
Is it tuned different than the 500r and 500f seems to pull much harder
@MotoMedicine9043 жыл бұрын
The state of tune is slightly different according to Honda. They aimed to make the Rebel have a broader/flatter range of torque.
@jasonwillmott51313 жыл бұрын
@@MotoMedicine904 nice they shakily have same tune on the other 500 would make them much better still none the less gorgeous bike brotha

Are those the oem mirrors and how did you flip them
@MotoMedicine9043 жыл бұрын
Yes they are the OEM mirrors. The video I made juat before this one has all the details 😄
@hourofpancitjones31783 жыл бұрын
What about new tires? I hear they make a noticeable difference on the 500.
@MotoMedicine9043 жыл бұрын
I'm still on stock Dunlup 404's but I hear the Metzler ME880's are popular for the Rebel.

@vantatilfly2 жыл бұрын
is there like a tuning for rebel 500?
@MotoMedicine9042 жыл бұрын
Not really. There is the Power Commander Fuel Controller but it does not modify ignition timing like the Power Commander V. It's just to modify fuel. Not really needed unless you run a catless header and exhaust in my opinion.
@theriotverse69053 жыл бұрын
Bro, how are you going 90 in 5th gear?? Mine screams at me if I hit 70 in 6th! Lol
@MotoMedicine9043 жыл бұрын
Screams at you? I think 74ish mph is the top of 3rd gear lol. I've been 109mph on my Rebel.
@theriotverse69053 жыл бұрын
@@MotoMedicine904 really?? Jesus! Maybe I need to have it looked at lol
@MotoMedicine9043 жыл бұрын
If its hitting the rev limiter in 6th gear at 70mph I would say that's not right at all. You physically can't even reach the limit of 6th gear on this bike because it doesn't have the power to do so. The theoretical top speed is near 120mph before the gearing just can't go any further. Problem is the bike can't push thru the wind due to power.
@theriotverse69053 жыл бұрын
@@MotoMedicine904 maybe I just haven’t finished breaking it in yet. I’m a new rider and I’m not used to how the revs sound at 70mph (they’re pretty loud). Kinda wish this bike had a tach on it lol I love the bike just worried about breaking something on it lol
@MotoMedicine9043 жыл бұрын
This bike revs out to 8500rpm. It's capable of exceeding that but honda didn't see a need for it as the power drops after that. Honda has been in the business of powersports for a long long time. I wouldn't be worried you'll break something. The rev limiter is there to make sure you dont.
