4th Gen Ram (2013+), Reading your 4 digit RF Hub PIN with Alfaobd

Here are the steps to read your 4 digit rf hub pin using Alfaobd. I believe this is available for most 4th gen Rams now on the latest version of alfaob.
*Please note if you have a 2018+ Ram, you need some type of SGW Bypass I order for alfaobd to work correctly and pull the correct pin.

Just picked up a 2014 RAM Tradesman 2500 and I would like to do the upgrades (brake controller, remote start, 2 new keyless entry fobs etc.). I thought we had to go to a dealership to get the pin - glad to know we can do it on our own!

I can even help you with wiring for OEM remote start too if you want. Save you a lot of money over buying an OEM kit. You may not even need any wiring. I have a couple videos on that as well.

Awesome. I got it to where the remote start button is making the truck honk. But no start yet. I've read some guys have had a odd thing where they had to wait a few hours before it started working.

I have a 2010 and I don’t have the Read Pin option on my AlfaOBD. I have other options but I cannot read the pin.

‘09-‘12 Rams have a WIN module not an RF Hub so the steps may be different. I’m not super familiar with them though.

Yes as long as you have power door locks. You just need to turn on RKE with alfaobd, program the new fobs, and then reset the win module.

That’s a 5th gen not a 4th gen. I do not believe alfaobd can pull a pin on a 5th gen yet. Jscan might be able to do it but don’t quote me on that.

My 2020 1500 classic won't give it up lol it'll hang for a while, then eventually give me a code like 0025, but keep stating the wrong code when trying to do anything with it.

What year is your ram? And are you trying to read it with the ignition in the odd position?

Mine is a 2022 Dodge Challenger. It reads pin but it gives me a 5 digit number. On my 18 Ram it reads at 4 Digit number. I try to program a key & the code it gives. Will not work to program a key.

@@rogerstewart5140 this is a how to for Rams not Challengers. I’m not familiar with challengers but if the 2022’s are anything like the 5th gen Rams then they have a 5 digit rolling pin that alfaobd cannot pull. I only assume that since you mentioned a 5 digit code but I honestly don’t know. I also assume you have a bypass cable as that is pretty much required on any 2018+ Mopar vehicle in order for alfaobd to work.
