Alfaobd tutorial on my Dodge Charger

quick walk through on how to change setting with alfaobd. this is on my 2021 charger but is the same steps for any other chrysler brand

Did your phone get A12?? I just finally got the app, and it will not work with my phone. Works with my daughter's Tablet, but not my A12 phone. It won't connect to Bluetooth. Seemingly has zero Bluetooth perms as they changed with A12. If Bluetooth is off, it won't turn it on. It will not show paired devices, and if I use it to try and scan a new one, and hit connect it crashes.

I have a Scat Pack with the cloth heated front seats only. If I get a set of alcantara front/rear seats could I use this to add the ventilated/heated front seats + heated rear seat option in Uconnect?

I believe you would need an additional seat module to be able to run ventilated seats. As for being able to activate the sales code with alfaobd, I am not 100% sure on that. There is an option for front ventilated seats in alfa so I believe you will be able to activate it with alfa

Just added a 180 thermostat. Will this allow me to access the fans to change the temps. Everywhere I’ve seen I need a unlocked pcm and hp or Diablo tuners to access those settings

Correct, you would need a tuner to adjust those thresholds

Can we add memory seats and rear parking sensors ?

It may be able to activate it but you'd need a lot of other things to add those features. I believe you'd need door modules and the memory button on the trim panel. As for the rear sensors, I believe the wiring is not there for those

Will Veepeak or Vgate be enough to program a key fob using Alfaobd?

I got performance pages on my charger dash but what do I need to do to get them on the radio? I have the 8.4. I'd like to know if you can add windows down with keyfob. If u could keep doing these videos that would be great. I'm trying to learn it

There is an option "performance pages preset" under the car configuration change menu. Is that the one that you selected? Also global down doesn't seem to work on our cars unfortunely. Yes I'll keep uploading more!

But I can't get the performance pages app on my radio. I have then on my dash. I can see all the stuff that way. But not on the radio.

@@toddcoello6461 strange, I was able to activate global down on my 16 ram but was unsuccessful on my charger. Also, you may not be able to activate it through the radio. I've heard of it setting an airbag light when setting the car to "vehicle is SRT" on the 15s+.

added some of the performance features in alfa obd and now my trunk wont open with any buttons have to use manual latch!! im sure of the changes i made even went back in and changed them back it but still no open.

That's strange. I haven't heard of that happening. I've heard of airbag lights after switching to "vehicle is SRT" but haven't heard of the trunk one before. Were you able to figure it out?

This has to be related to Police Lights. If you're adding it - the trunk button will not work, neither rear power windows.

Do you have to leave it plugged in after changes have been made or can you remove it an everything saved

Nope you do not need to keep it plugged in. You're basically programming the bcm so what's the setting is changed, it will stay there without anything needing to be plugged in

Might be a dumb question but why can’t you plug above the pedals into the OBD there?

Because of the security gateway. It has to be plugged into the bypass cable for that which gets installed in the trunk

@Nicholas Martinez if you have an 18+, you will need a bypass module which is what you saw me use in the trunk in order to access the bcm to activate sport mode! Anything under an 18 you can just plug into the obd under the dash

Im not 100%positive on that. If you activate SRT pages, it may activate that as well but I am not sure.

Is it normal for you uconnect to go blue after changing a couple things?

I don't think it should do that. I've used it on a lot of different cars and I've never had that happen

​@@TboneSRTI installed it as it showed without issues. I'm familiar with the alpha obd, as I had it on my ram for 5 years. Once I started using it on my 2020 charger, I did small changes and let it sit. The set turned on.my airbag so I went back on it. The mileage I can't get to change, I've tried 10 times. Any idea what I'm missing?

@paulpolivka1575 yes, the airbag light will come on when you activate "vehicle is SRT". Put that back to no and the airbag light will turn off! Also as far as mileage goes, you can only program cluster mileage with the OBDlink MX

I use EL327 and 12+8 Cable For SGW Bybass but i always get no data received from ecu/interface and i don't know why ?

Hmm strange, for alfaobd, you only need to enter into the BCM not ECU

Yes, just need to set your DRL to turn signal. This only works if you have a 22+

@johnnyrosario224 sweet! Android tablet will work great! And you bought the veepeak obd reader correct? Yes you will need the bypass cable! 2015+ require it because the computer is locked out so that cable allows you to bypass the security gateway
