I like the discontinued Buck Vantage with an s30v blade and G10 scales, both the large and small version.

I think they've got a wood one out now, is that a much older model? Thanks for watching!

I picked up the Toor Merchant 2.0 Tanto about a year go from Optics Planet for $150. Definitely an insane deal and I do enjoy the knife for that price. 2 caveats- Blade was Advertised as 3.75". Once i got it in hand I'm thinking it's a bit small... and it Actually measures 3.40". Even on Toor website it was listed at 3.75. Buyer be aware. Also, detent on mine is soft . However- to Toor's credit the Build Quality is next level.

The Merchant is awesome, I think the tanto might be advertised as the same length as the drop point version when in reality it's a bit shorter... that might be the issue. That being said I absolutely love it and it feels extremely well made especially for the $150-170 range, literally cheaper than a bugout made with plastic. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the video dude. Btw I don’t think the brand Esee is underrated since they’re praised for their top quality and life warranty, every outdoor knives enthusiasts and preppers know how excellent their 1095 is

Thanks for the support! I think esee is definitely well respected among hardcore knife guys, but there are definitely lots of people that haven't heard of them at all because they aren't sold at cabelas, academy, Walmart, or other retailers and they don't really make folders... thanks for watching!

Many years ago Buck made a similar knife as a Walmart exclusive called the Mesa , it was their 420 HC and sold for $38 .

Buck still has some great models that are on the cheaper end and still high quality for sure, I think they have a Walmart exclusive now with carbon fiber onlays but i can't remember the name

@@DXSharpening The old model 319 Rancher was a great pocket knife, wish they would bring it back.

I love the functional design and material quality of Buck knives, but what keeps me from buying them is their hollow grinds. In my usage of knives, I find hollow grinds create too much resistance.

I have had a lot of great experiences with Buck knives and I think it might be worth it to try one out... they're slowly producing more and more modern stuff that might need a few of the kinks worked out but a lot of the stuff I have from them is awesome and a lot of people don't talk about them enough. Thanks for watching!

Esee doesn't make knives. They are all outsourced and Esee branded.
