Chi Brew is the best mp5 currently and provides for those bursty moments most common in mop raiding, ascension is great in steady damage fights however. All talents are a choice and all have their place.

Nice guide Preach! There's one mistake though regarding the glyph of mana tea. It uses 2 charges instantly and makes the ability "Mana Tea" have a 10 sec cd. However, it does not use up an extra stack for the same return as a single one. Meaning, if you have 10 stacks of mt and use the ability, you're gonna be left with 8 stacks and have recovered 2 stacks worth of mana instantly. I personally just embed it into my rotation and it works just fine, especially since it can be used on the move.

Mistweaver is my favorite class/spec in the game right now, it's just so much fun. I just love the way you can switch between healing and damage in a second, and the healing style is very fun to me.

Im certain this guide will help a lot of players understand the fundamentals behind mistweaving. But, the flow of mistweaving is a very versatile style of play, not to mention that you can afford to be mana efficient in lfr raids, but progression raids its a different matter, especially when/if you have to throw tank healing into the mix, where chi wave outmatches chi burst alot.

i dont know if this is the best ui arrangement... here the addons he used or the ones that can do exactly the same mappy : for the map bartender4 : action bars shadow unit frames : player, target, focusframes -for procs like manatea loads i would recommend : satrina buff frames : to -make youre own uniq frames via whitelists grid / healbot / VuhDo : raid overview for healing recount or skada : heal / dmg meter scrolling combat text : the heal and dmg text by the side

Preach you should try to use Healing Elixirs as they heal you for all those mana teas. Ofc use Dampen Harm and Diffuse Magic as needed but try to use Healing Elixirs it's heal you for so much so you can heal yourself with those and the raid with your spells. yes, it does both, there is an option, like on mine i have the bars bright, going darker, he has his dark getting lighter, but with mine the get darker when they are out of range... many options, and yes its a mouseover addon that works with anything, like pitbull, which are what his health bars are apart from his grid...

I should also mention that when ever there is some sort of damage modifier on the boss in your favor, anything over about 50% and fistweaving becomes better than mistweaving.

I'm rolling a healer too! I already have a shaman, and they're not really worth rolling this patch if you ask me, they perform very poorly. In the end it all comes down to personal preference of course, but I'm going to roll a monk, they look fun!

So preach, would you recommend a traditional healing play style or a hybrid style of doing dps to gain chi? Not sure how heavy mw melee has been changed, last i checked dps spells cost lots of mana. Really looking for am opinion. Great vid as always, keep it up

If you want to cheat it alittle, you could always convert your Justice points for honor, and get the Malevolent pvp gear to boost your ilvl a bit. otherwise its just luck dependent (though healers and tanks usually get their gear a bit easier, since they dont have to compete with that many ppl for it).

I recently discovered this pretty neat rotation aswell :) i also found a pretty decent addon to help me with keeping up with my renewing mists called "renewing mist tracker" :) cheers for this! nicely explained! ps do you know the best stat prio atm? spirit>haste (3145 cap) > crit > haste (6145 +/-?) > mastery?

Crit can make you gain double mana tea stacks, so crit would seem to be better

To say fist weaving is gone is kind of a misconception. Something you should be doing is "Zealweaving". You basically auto-attack the boss while keeping Serpent's Zeal and Tiger Palm up so it's cheap healing and some damage.

I've found ascension to be better for mana regen atm, since it increases the amount of mana you get from Mana tea. But next patch, Chi bre might be better.

I understand the chi brew over ascention because ascention is really more towards people who cant manage their chi as well, but why momentum over celerity? wouldnt you want the extra torpedo for the extra free healing... (and the time off of each of the torpedo cooldowns)

Hey what do you use to heal I've tried to get into healing but I just find using things like heal bot very boring and largely distracting to paying good attention to positioning outside of the obvious stacking phases in fights.

DK's got nerfs pretty much the very next few patches after. Monks haven't really recieved this sort of nerf attention -yet-. And 'eventually' for DK's happened fairly right off. Monks are most likely not going to. Given in raids it isnt monks who often have top heals. Its the tops that get nerfs, bottoms get buffs. And by a entire class designation they are not the #1 healer. The only nerf I may see of them is in PvP situations. PvE most likely not.
