Monstars of Rock is a snoozefest. ITEC was incredible with Revenge of the Mummy but This dark ride is just Vomitrocius!

I wouldn’t call screens a dark ride 💀
@christianortiz-v1l2 сағат бұрын
@JettCrocodile exactly, that's what makes it so bad, and the animation is terrible because Vin Diesel for some reason is the same size as the helicopter he hangs on too.

For what it’s worth, I’m kinda digging the art style of the Monstars. Whoever the artist is, at least they tried with their character design, which is more than can be said for most of the other slapped together rides on this list.

It's certainly better than the AI garbage I see today.

It’s weird how so many dinosaur rides feature big apes. I know Kong fights dinosaurs sometimes, but that doesn’t mean he fits into any Dino ride.
@rejectclone45043 сағат бұрын
Such a utter shame that the TAWOG ride is so pathetic looking, especially since the show itself is such a great love letter to surrealist creativity and comedy, and that could’ve easily lended to such a fun and zany dark ride 💔 At least the inside of their home in the ride seems to be a pretty spot-on replica of the actual interior in the show, but other than that it’s just such a bland and slow looking dark ride 😔

The Dubai Ride is certainly bizarre in how bad it is, like the other rides here were clearly made for cheap by people who either didn't have a budget or the experience to make a good dark ride. But this one is licenced and was probably build by profesionals so idk how they screwed up so bad.

The worst dark ride I've ever been on was a VERY short lived spin-n-shoot called "Alien Invasion" at Gillian's Wonderland Pier. I think it only operated for less than five years in the late 2000's, but I distinctly remember the cartoon aliens on the cardboard cut outs (there were no 3D sculptures, let alone animatronics). I can't even find any evidence this ride existed, but it really put the pretzel in "pretzel dark ride" as it was incredibly short and jerky; it was like they gutted part of the concession stands in the indoor portion of the pier and tried to make a light gun game out of the flat part of a Wild Mouse. It was the most I had ever seen a ghost train qualify as a themed experience only by technicality. The attempts to shut out external light sources ranged from thin black cloth to exposed light bulbs. The dark ride wasn't even dark. The only reason I even consider it memorable was because some company had clearly bothered to actually design the cartoon alien targets, as they looked more like technicolored Tasmanian devils than your traditional little green men. Leave a comment if you also remember this. Or just have any information on where the f that thing came from or where it went.

I'm guessing that the story for Monster House at Engerylandia is that you the rider are visiting an alien planet and to the aliens, you are the monster who for some reason dragged Samara from The Ring with you.

@ThemeParkCrazy Peter, I came up with the concept of Least Scariest Ghost Trains many years but never continued with the idea. I'm extra excited to watch this though!
@SwitchbackSylveonСағат бұрын
One dark ride I loved was The Ghost Train at Dymchurch Amusement Park in Dymchurch, England. It's a bit of a classic ghost train which doesn't have any animatronics or anything, instead the scenary's all just painted murals, it was one of my favourite ghost trains growing up. I rerode it last year and found they had replaced the front facade with a more generic looking wrap (before it had a nice aesthetic of a sort of haunted forest) and repainted all the murals inside with new ones so it's lost some of its charm in my opinion

Monster House was so random and none of it made sense. They had to of spent money on it, the decor was definitely spent money on. It was like a bunch of left over props. There was also no sound, just a random ride through random bits and feeling like "wtf did I just ride". Energylandia is an amazing park that also makes zero sense as to why it exists at all.
