I'm a 74-year-old very fit man, and definitely, I can use Mark's indications. Thank you!

I've been doing those overhead extensions for years. Never thought to rest the dumbbell on my shoulder. Awesome tips here. Thank you!

Always look forward to your videos. Over 50 and yea, time to decrease the number of reps to keep strict form.

Good man, Mark. You always speak truth. I have been resistance training ( as a way of life ) for 45 years +.

That first exercise ? I do it with a 45 deg. angle. Monster results. Do NOT go too heavy. Form is the key and injury avoidance needs to be top priority.

Awesome thank you. How often can I do this, how long do I need to wait for my muscles to repair ?

Listen to your body.

Yea that’s the magic question for me too, at first I gave it a few days but now I’ll work them as many sets to failure as I can everyday unless I’m too sore then I wait or do at least calisthenics til recovered, & to me recovered is I can complete same or more amount of sets & reps day to day. It’s hard to get sore for me tho and that’s not necessarily an accurate gauge is it?

This is something I think Mark should cover at some point soon-what's a good (typical) recovery time? For me (61), it's a couple of days, but everyone's mileage can vary.

@ I think it’s 48 hours for sure. That’s what I go by.

@@sneakyguy8917 no, if I listened to my body I’d do this every day. Since they don’t answer questions I’ll find another site. Thanks though

not a huge fan of 21s (or 15s). there should be a bicep excercize in the stretched position. i would do Bayesian curls with bands if I was at home. ideally bands are strapped to something about 2-3 feet high. could variation with triceps though. I like a lot of stuff over the head
