The urge to sin is natural and normal. Just try to eliminate them one by one. Enjoy the warmth. It's freezing here tonight.

That’s great to hear Andrew. I am glad the videos have helped you. I get a real thrill from hearing from people that I have been able to help via KZbin. It blows me away actually. Lots more to come don’t worry. Thanks for letting me know. Brian

Hi Brian, that tip about the grip is spot on, been hooking and pulling left for months and could not work it out, tried gripping in the middle joint and heaven, straight down the middle. Thanks.

Thanks for letting me know Gordon.It really does work. It feels a little weird at first but the feeling of the ball off the club face is fantastic. Keep on enjoying that feeling and thanks for watching. Brian

Happy Thanksgiving my Austrailian cousin. Do you guys celebrate it? Played at NAS Pensacola yesterday and shot 94. Couldn't break 100 a couple of months ago. I go over your tapes before playing. Gonna break 90. ( Soon??) LOL.

Thank you for thinking of me Thomas. Congratulations on your 94. I am so pleased my videos are working for you. Changing golf scores is why I coach. It gets me up in the morning. I know you have a lot more improvement to go. There is no reason you can't consistently go under 90. To be honest I did not know it was thanksgiving. So no it is not something we celebrate down here. I hope you had a very enjoyable 19th hole couz. Brian

Such sensible advice. Love it. The advice on the right hand grip is new to me so I will defi Italy give it a go. Many thanks.

Thanks for letting me know. Lots of people are telling me that the grip advice is new. I have been using that since 1981 when my coach Alex Mercer showed it to me and I know David Graham was using it along time before that. It really works but you just need to get used to it. Brian

Just discovered your channel. Really good videos and I appreciate that you are talking about conditions we find in Melbourne. Especially around the green & types of bunkers. The faults in this video describe my game somewhat. Can't wait for the flipping lockdown to finish and get out to play again. Keep up the good work.

Hey Rowan. Welcome aboard. I am glad you found me and you are enjoying my videos. I just try and make videos for every day golfers. They are the people I coach. The end of lock down will be great. Hopefully we can all appreciate what we have here in Melbourne all the more. I can't wait to get back to doing what I do best. Helping people play better golf. Stay well and thanks for watching. Brian

Great instruction once again Brian. I have a tendency to play the ball too forward in my stance with my hybrid. I will move it back a ball or two next time in my range warm up. Thanks golf doctor.....

Thanks Brian, I make all of these mistakes. Since watching your video, my consistency of striking the ball correctly has improved greatly. I am still making mistakes but I hope with practice they will get less and less.

That is such good news Richard. Well done. It is great to hear from people that have made some improvements by watching one of my videos. As the title suggests they are very common and it is what I see in my role as a full time golf coach. Work your way through the list and your score should get lower. Thanks for getting in touch and keep on improving. Brian

I have a few. My most recent one was about pitching distance control kzbin.info/www/bejne/apfZgoV9fLGcjbs You can use this as the base idea. Just keep changing clubs accordingly. This one is an old one but still very relevant. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rXqkYaaGbdV7Y80 This one is on chipping but there is a little cross over. There are plenty to choose and there are more short game videos to come. Brian

Hey Brian, love these vids.. I was back at your old stomping ground, R’dale on Sunday. And got hit with an August blast that dumped a half meter of snow in the alpine region. I got wet, cold and the wind was blowing a gale. I hit my 240m club on the par three 1st and hit the green, does that illustrate it for you? Anyway, I put it down to swinging easy. Wet grips and glove but swinging easy. I hit 12 fairways and 10 greens. I should have done better than 37pts but putted like a dufus (40) inc a chip in. Where is the kids clinic?

In those conditions that was a great score. I was cold sitting at home watching the tigers win at the G. Well done for braving the arctic blast. Riversdale's greens are very tricky and require a bit of getting used to. Lots of subtle little breaks. Combine that with wind and the greens can make anyone look bad. I oversee a junior golf program at Morack where I coach. My classes are Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Warmer weather is just around the corner....Brian

You are suggesting some lateral motion on the backswing while many are promoting a centered turn with very little lateral motion. Isn't it more difficult to time a move back to the left if you have a significant move off the ball in the backswing?
@fitzygolfpro
@fitzygolfpro 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Leonard and thanks for your question. What I am suggesting is a little move away from the ball. When most golfers I see try to create the centered turn you speak of they in fact develop a reverse weight shift and have more weight on the front foot than the back foot. And then the heads falls back away from the target on the down swing causing an upward strike with little power. Yesterday at the range I coach at. I counted 15 people out of 18 falling back away from the target on their downswing. I am not suggesting a lot of movement but 6 to 10 inches is fine and will not make it harder to hit the ball but easier. Brian

@@fitzygolfpro I am looking forward to trying this and greatly appreciate the advice. Have you done a video recently on posture? I think I am too bent over at address and would like to stand taller but am not sure how tall is correct and whether you can bend over enough to see the ball directly or whether you have stand so tall that you look down only with your eyes down your nose and cheeks. Thanks again.
@fitzygolfpro
@fitzygolfpro 5 жыл бұрын
I have a play list on golf posture which you can find here kzbin.info/aero/PL0pw2jOJGhNdtPraM1ZgvytS4wWQ9KAGl You should have enough spine tilt to see the golf ball but you will be looking down your nose ans cheeks slightly. Brian
