This is excellent! I have ... not so much numbness but Stiffness in my feet ...at the base of several Toes. I have Bunions and a couple of Toes that were injured at some point, one is a Hammer Toe. Being a woman - shoes aren't made for feet. Ive never worn pointed toes or heels higher than an inch or so - and only flats for years now. But our feet get twisted nevertheless. im not diabetic or pre-diabetic. Ive always felt this is a mechanical problem. I need to follow up on this!

Hi wow such great information. This is a must see video many many people today. When I go out and about I see many people a lot of employees that work in stores behind counted pharmacist and then when you see them walking, they look like they are in so much pain and if you ask them, they will tell you they are in a lot of pain and they don’t know what to do, please keep these videos coming as I have told them about this site. Let’s hope they’re smart enough to go on the site and get some real great intelligent advice. You are a really good speaker and I really enjoyed the demos because saying the different points which sound like in Latin doesn’t help people today pointing to them showing them is phenomenal. Thanks ever so much Tricia inHawaii.

I had numbness in my four small toes on my left leg for y several years. fortunately, I could wiggle my toes and occasionally did this to sort of help get rid of the numbness. I found doing this a fairly regular basis (just because it did help get rid of the numbness in my toes) seem to work and eventually the whole thing disappeared. now 10 years later it’s back, but I can still get rid of it temporarily by just wiggling my toes. (in the meantime, that foot is flat, It dropped about 20 years ago in an episode of severe pain when I was walking.)

thank you for a very informative video. last year, out of the blue whilst walking my dog... my left foot 'FLOPPED" as i was walking. after an MRI turned out Id had a mini stroke, which only affected my left foot, after 3 months it stopped "flopping" but just a few months ago i saw my Doc because my left foot is a whole shoe size now bigger than my right, and its starting to hurt when i walk now and then, and by evening. my doc said its rhumatism in my left foot big toe and theres nothing i can do. he said eventually ill have trouble walking, I cant believe this. can YOU suggest something please. I love walking, and after some googeling... started to take Turmeric

I don't know your exact circumstances, so it's hard to say. You'd want to rule out gout in the big toes, cardiovascular issues that could be causing the swelling, and potentially lower back nerve issues if ONLY the left foot was affected and not the entire left leg. However, beyond that you'd need to see someone in person to find out if it is one of those things, or something else.

If it's just the big toes, the first thing I'd think about would be an L5 nerve root issue in the back. Second might be gout. I can't say if either of those are your problem, but it's something to bring up with your doctor.

I started to get numbness on the inside of my big toes from pushing on multiple foot pedals with both feet while standing in steel to boots for about 3 weeks straight. The arch of my foot seems fine so maybe nerve pinching? It seems to be getting a little better with different stretches and massages that I find, but I still can't get it to go away. I've thought about quitting my job so I can recover because I don't think it will get better if I'm still doing the repetitive motion for 10 hours every other day

Shoes that are too tight or narrow can compress the nerves in your feet. If you haven't tried a new, wider pair of boots, you might try doing that first. Or check with a healthcare provider before doing something drastic like quitting your job.

Can't say for sure. It could be that the sciatic nerve got irritated with the surgery. But you also could have started walking differently after the surgery and put pressure on the nerves in the foot. Or it could be swelling from the surgery draining down to your leg and putting pressure on your nerves. Those are a few possibilities. Let your surgeon and therapy team know about it for sure.

What about numbness in only big toe
@More4Life
@More4Life 4 ай бұрын
You'd have to get it checked out to find out for sure, but the L5 nerve root from the lower back refers pain to the big toe. Additionally it could be a local compression due to shoes with pointed toes. Inflammation or swelling such (i.e. gout) could compress the nerve. Those are just a few, but again, you'd have to have it examined to figure out what's causing it in your case.

I went on a long road trip for 28+ hours sitting short breaks in between and after that I had the worst back pain ,swelling in my legs. Then I notice this painful bulge in my left leg where my calf is. (Before this trip I already had issues with my back and hips getting stuck when I walked , and my foot spasming as well).; But now I notice my back isn't "cracking anymore" and my left heel is completely numb. It's been numb for 2 weeks. My legs get shooting pains all the way to my tailbone. It's the worse. I just want to know what the bulge is and will it be numb forever
@More4Life
@More4Life Жыл бұрын
If you're having swelling and and a bulge in your calf, it's worth urgently getting that checked out. A deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is one possible cause of leg swelling and can be potentially deadly if the clot breaks off an goes to the lungs. That can happen after prolonged immobilization such as a long plane flight or car trip where the blood pools in the calves. A doppler ultrasound is the gold standard test to rule that out. It could be something less serious than that, but it's worth ruling the serious stuff out first. The back/hip issues may be unrelated - possibly a pinched nerve in the lower back or in the buttock. *Note: Don't use this in place of getting in-person medical advice. See a doctor sooner rather than later.

If the boot are too tight, that can compress the nerves in your foot. You may try loosening the laces or potentially getting wider shoes or arch supports for the shoes. All of that obviously depends on your individual case though.

My issue started with tight shoes. One foot only. I think that the issue was compounded by sitting at my desk for hours at end with my weight balanced mainly on one buttock
@More4Life
@More4Life Жыл бұрын
@@janicejames3005 yes, the sitting on one side of the buttock can cause a sciatic nerve compression, and then the compression from the tight shoes as well. Hopefully sitting more balanced and getting wider shoes will help.

I wore tight shoes and as it is my feet are broader than usual. Now my right foot is numb for about a week can't feel and move the big toe and can't move the foot upwards and can't feel a large part of the foot. Didn't even realise when it got numb suddenly and I toppled and fell bruising and hurting both my knees.

Interesting information but there must be more. Those things are not the causes of my problem. Swollen feet, tingling feet, numbness of feet & toes. My doctor said it was dry skin. What a joke, dry skin doesn't cause all these problems.

If your feet are swollen, you may have your doctor check on vascular disease, congestive heart failure, or lymphedema, to name a few possibilities.

If your still having problems look into finding a physiotherapist or such who understands CRPS which is chronic regional pain syndrome. I'd had it for awhile following a fall and after struggling with it for ages happened to see another physiotherapist who had just done an indepth course on this problem and she finally helped me recover by retraining the nerves to stop firing out of control with specific excercises and repetitive home treatments. It took awhile but it did work. I was still having unexplained pain in that foot and finally got to see a foot orthopedic specialist who did an MRI finding a small break in a bone which stopped hurting instantly after he put pressure on it on the right spot thereby knitting the bone together, after 18 months of hell it was miraculous😊 of course I then realized it also would have been the reason for the CRPS in the first place. I hope yourve found an answer by now but if not keep this in mind, I'm in New Zealand and CRPS was only just becoming recognized here so I was fortunate to find someone newly trained in the condition and the treatment.

If the only thing that has changed is sitting on the floor, my first thought would be a back or sciatic nerve issue. Of course you'll have to get that checked out with your local medical providers, but that would be the first thing that would pop into my mind with that history.
