another thing with friendly fire is the fact that you can just see the shocked and horrified look on rex's face through his helmet another testament to the writing and voice acting that the emotions that the clones are feeling can be con-vied very well even when they are basically faceless

The politics in the prequels were boring, in my opinion. But that’s because you can’t really get in depth with the politics in a movie. The depth of it all is where politics are interesting. Trying to compress something that shouldn’t be compressed into a movie is not a good idea, however laying it out over a long television series like Clone Wars is.

More shows need to be like the Clone wars. Push the story, take chances, make a show that even when someones young and they might dislike an aspect of it, they'll come back one day and realize new things and fall in love again. @The high ground it might be a test. If it goes really well they might push another season. Originally the show was going to end a bit after order 66 . They might still do this and even push slightly further. I believe (not sure) almost right after the formation of the empire Umbara rebelled. Also a great conquest of the outer rim started and remnants of the Confederacy still existed and fought the empire. We could perhaps follow mon mothma and bail organa to see what they are up to after the formation of the empire.

That's what I liked most about the prequel trilogy. From the scenes on Coruscant you actually got the feeling that the war was talking place across an entire Galaxy. The prequels portrayed a variety of cultures quite well and really gave you some lore. Everything in the Original and Sequel Trilogies took place on empty backwater worlds and if there was more to the galaxy then you never really saw it. You might have seen a few aliens in the Mos Eisley cantina or Jabba's palace, but you're never told anything about the worlds they come from.

Boba was secretly very protective about Clones. why? they were his father's legacy. Jango's reward for killing that Jedi that Dooku was after. when Boba learned Kamino stopped its cloning protection when the Empire came into power, Boba was outraged on the inside because this meant that the army Jango trained would no longer exist, meaning Jango's legacy would fade away. no more Clones = no more Jango. there are numerous reasons why Boba couldn't kill Clones, almost all of them were personal

Ahsoka watching whilst Anakin dealt with his past as a slave in the Season 4 Slave arc was a great scene as well. We got to see Anakin showing has anger in front of Ahsoka and Obi-Wan rather than hiding it. It's a hint that maybe, Anakin's problems should have been noticed earlier.
@Alizudo
@Alizudo 5 жыл бұрын
The fundamental problem is that Anakin was an angry man, because he was a human being who lived a harsh life. There's nothing wrong with expressing how you feel and trying to heal bad memories. The Jedi see emotion as a blasphemy, and criticize you for being sad or upset. Anakin had all this pain that he needed to deal with, but the Jedi wouldn't let him. So he kept it inside and tried to hide it because that's what they told him to do. They even show this in the movies, where Anakin asks Yoda about his visions. Anakin asks Yoda "I'm seeing the future and it makes me sad." Yoda's response is "Just don't be sad, bro Lmao". If the Jedi actually TALKED with Anakin to help him get over his trauma instead of telling him to ignore it, he wouldn't have grown into such an angry, cruel man who had almost no choice except to be a Sith.

Unknown name totally. This is why it makes so much sense that Anakin as Vader eventually turned back to the light side. He simply needed an outlet for his emotions, which he found in the dark side (to the extreme). But after a while, his emotions would only be triggered by non-familial things. Which is why when he discovered his kids, they probably gave him the similar emotions he felt with Padme. Hence why he started to go back to the light side and ultimately saved Luke from Palps.

This also shows that Anakin was actually a very good master for Ahsoka. He allowed her to see different points of view and to be a free thinker. Something that most masters fail to do it seems. Sure Anakin still had to drill Jedi traditions into her, but that didn't stop Ahsoka from questioning it or bending the rules like her master does. It makes Ahsoka such a forward thinking character who challenges the norm in a meaningful way, even after leaving the order.

The writers seemingly had much more creative freedom while making the Clone Wars series because the Lucasfilm, "Story Group," of that time consisted of Dave Filoni, Katie Lucas, (amongst others,) but with George Lucas himself sitting at the head of the table. Every decision made either came directly from, or had to be run by, George Lucas. You can call that, "creative freedom," or, you can admit that George Lucas truly IS a genius who knows the subject matter better than anyone living, and during the Production had far more time to fully flesh out his ideas. (As opposed to the limited time allowed within the constraints of a feature length film.) Sure, he's had a couple, "missteps." Especially the first two of three Prequel movies. But, there are fans who were introduced to Star Wars with the Phantom Menace who would NEVER consider the prequel trilogy to be, "missteps," at all. And, every age group has their favorite Star Wars era. With very few people enjoying all of the content from every time period equally. But, watch some Clone Wars, "behind the scenes," or, "making of," and you'll see there was a table of writers, but ALWAYS with George at the head and Dave Filoni by his side.

The Umbara scene was one of the few of the clone wars, or any show for that matter, that made me shed some tears. Like you said, the fog, the animation, and the desperation in Rex’s voice really sold it, and so did the music. Such an intense and shocking scene that made that entire arc. There are many deep scenes in the Clone Wars. My few picks in no particular order: 1. Ahsoka looking at Anakin painfully when she refused to rejoin the Jedi Council after they expelled her. 2. Rex trembling to kill Ahsoka when he received the Order 66 and he managed to give clue (Fives) to Ahsoka despite being influenced by his inhibitor chip. 3. Asajj Ventress renouncing the Dark Side and helping Pluma Sodi and Krismo. And in the last season, helping Ahsoka when she was wrongly accused of the bombings. 4. Satine being killed before Obi Wan. The way they made eye contact when she was dying! 5. The younglings learning to master their weaknesses in The Gathering episode! 6. Fives learning about Palpatine and then being killed by one of his own brothers. 7. Anakin learning about his future and then forgetting it. 8. Yoda foreseeing the Jedi purge and winning his test to attain the Force ghost abilities. There are many, many more!

The saddest scenes are the deaths of Waxer, Fives, 99, Satine, Hevy's sacrifice along the burial of Jesse and the others after the crash. Fenominal show if one can say so. One of the best cartoons ever!!.....and that is an understatement. It made you care about many of the characters! I like how they gave some limelight to many of the characters and not just focus on one or two of the main ones. It didn't take away from the main ones at all and in fact it made the stories much more richer and interesting. It actually strengthened each character! Not to mention it did give out some very good and true life lessons without being preachy, which is a testament to good writing and actual life lessons that sticks to you and hits you in heart! This show never felt forced or tried to convince you to think one way or another, but presented you with an honest and open debate on things that affect us deeply in our souls as humans....things we think about but rarely talk about.
