Thanks! 👍 It definitely made me think of many more ways I could capture various shots for the future. Especially when we continue shooting the rest of our feature film next year! 🎥

*Ive been shooting alot of fashion shoots and typically have 2 sony a7iii set up one on tripod and one with my DJI gimbal but because I started with drones having the ability to do sweeping camera movements was important so I attached a monopod! This setup has been a game changer for me! I just recently baught the Ronin 4d 8k camera along with the flex cable for the same ability!*

Super cool, love this, you are so pro I wish I had your talent! I'm going to try some of these, with emphasis on the word 'TRY" lol, I'm sure it will take lots of practice and repetition for sure. Excellent video, thanks for the great ideas, I think I'm going to get rid of my Gimbal Crane and get a Manfrotto Gimboom with a nice lightweight Gimbal. You have the best equipment, I'm jeleous!

Thx! It definitely takes practice, but that’s the great thing about it. Once you get the hang of it then it really becomes no big deal. A little creativity can go a long way.

What are the differences between the Gimboom and a Monopod? It seems, superficially, that a good carbon fiber monopod can do most of what the Gimboom does.
@CamberFilmSchool6 ай бұрын
I thought the same thing initially, but with a monopod the feet get thinner and thinner the more you extend it. So if you have it fully extended, you’ll be holding all that weight from the thinnest part of the monopod leg which makes me more nervous. Plus the Gimboom has an attachment point on the bottom that is designed specifically to be used with the Manfrotto MVG300XM gimbal which can detach the handle from the gimbal so that you can actually mount the gimbal control handle at the bottom of the Gimboom and the gimbal at the top to give you even more control of the gimbal movement when fully extended.

@@CamberFilmSchool That the Gimboom doesn't narrow is a very important point. Is there a possibility of a waist strap mounting point? Although one isn't always anchoring at the waist it's something that would be useful in many scenarios where "free" holding might cause arm or upper body strain.
@CamberFilmSchool6 ай бұрын
@seecraig that would definitely be something to look into for those types of shots. I’m sure there are some kind of compatible attachments out there that could hook up to one of those mid attachment points.

does this gimble has axis stabilization capability? if not what 3 axis stabilization products do you recommend to be used with this gimble?
@CamberFilmSchool6 ай бұрын
The gimboom isn’t a stabilizer. It’s basically an extension arm for your gimbal.

Great video and tips mate. Quick question: Can this monopod hold a DJI RS4 and the Sony A7sIII with a 24-70mm GM 2 Lens? Im kinda scared 😅
@CamberFilmSchool6 ай бұрын
The load capacity of the Gimboom is 14.3 lbs and all of that gear weighs a total of about 5.5 lbs so you’ll definitely be good to go. 👍
