Great video!! I go to the gym before work so I HAVE to do it in about an hour, otherwise I'd be late ahahaha keeps distractions to a minimum! And yeah I see toooooo many girls at the gym who "train" instead of REALLY training; like, texting while on a machine, doing squats with loads that clearly are way too easy for them, bad form, etc. I think many women are afraid of lifting heavy, which is a shame! I try to preach the gospel of going heavy but most of the time I feel like approaching random people at the gym to comment this stuff is kind of douchy, so I don't...

Nice to hear a fitness influencer make clear that what they show in their videos is NOT showing them properly training. I see so many people in the gym finishing their sets barely even looking like it’s hard and just wonder what they even think they are achieving. People walking out with not a drop of sweat on them. Waste of time.

I’m so glad you’re talking about RPE. I used to gym it twice a day, doing 1-2 hours of strength training after work, but I never saw any changes in the way my muscles were looking. I realized after a while that I was afraid of embarrassing myself by making ugly faces. Now, I know that I need to push myself till maximum fugly face is achieved and then the work out was sufficient. I also do reps until I physically fail to get in another full rep. So I don’t plan on hitting a goal on a number of reps, I plan on repping until my muscles can’t do it anymore. I have my boyfriend spot me on lifts where I’m in a vulnerable position because I know for a fact, that last rep will be a failure. Plus that failure gives me a marking point for a hurdle to get over next time. And every time I think I can’t add any more weight, I add 5 pounds and just attempt a rep so my body knows what that added weight feels like.

Serious question: Does working out with weights and “training” help lose weight? I would like to look fit but I also need to lose weight too. I’m not sure where I should start or what I’m doing if I wanted to try her beginners program.
@kjell29914 жыл бұрын
It will help to decrease your body fat percentage yes. But you should also get your diet straight if you want to loose fat effectively
@san18834 жыл бұрын
Taylor Leigh weight training is the best for weight loss, muscle burns fat so gaining muscle will in turn make you burn more and more fat. Cardio might make you lose a lot of weight really fast in the beginning but will then require you to keep eating less calories to keep losing weight, which weight training wont do since you’ll be gaining muscle which will burn fat for you, even when you’re not moving. I suck at explaining but there are a lot of videos that explain this very well, just search for something like ”why weight training is better for weight loss than cardio”. Hope I at least kinda answered ur question lol, & good luck w ur goals!! You’ll do great 💞
@88yaz884 жыл бұрын
Yes. So long youre eating at a healthy deficit you will lose weight.
@estertoivola5694 жыл бұрын
My own experiencs with this was that when i started to train harder for the first time (5 times per week) two years ago I did like maybe 2-3h bicycling per week outside of gym but lifted weights at the gym. So what happened was that i first lost like 3kg of water weight, then my weight stayed the same for a bit and startes slowly increase as my muscles started growing. But know for a fact that it was muscle as i measured my body at this fittness centre twice with 7 months between them. My bodyfat dropped from 26% to 22% and i gained 2,6kg of muscle (i was 15 at the time and im 154cm tall). And all that without cutting down the calories, just eating alot of clean food. So from experience i can say that if you work hard, you'll definitely loose bodyfat!
@emanahmad80494 жыл бұрын
If I were u id practise to loose weight first then start practising to look fit and gain some muscles...i won't do both at the same time coz you don't wana gain muscles with all those fats in

@Pnasty13374 жыл бұрын
What she didn't say is that most people vastly misuse the rpe scale. It's a highly advanced technique that you need a lot of experience training to failure to use accurately. Her depiction of what an RPE 10 rep looks like (with Jeff holding the gun) is a great example of this.. Lol

I don’t know if you’ll see or answer this but I have a question. When you’re talking about training to failure are you talking about each exercise? Or at the end of your workout? I work out 7 days a week, two hours every day. I have no problem training to failure per exercise, but not for my whole workout. If that makes sense. Like I might be at failure for that specific exercise but not for my entire workout. Like i always feel like I could do more when I’m done no matter how Hard I’m training. Like I could literally spend all day in the gym If I let myself and train super hard and not feel done. Idk if that makes sense but do you have any suggestions? I hope that made sense 😂

The hilarious thing about this video is that this girl actually does not have no aesthetic muscle structure at all she's just a girl with a big butt that's it. But you could tell by her shoulders and her form when she's working out that she's in no position to train nobody at all. And just cuz with Jeff in this video does it mean she's a professional trainer if she is . then I guess anybody could be a professional trainer cuz I've seen girls at the gym that have an aesthetic built three times more impressive than this woman and they're not trainers at all . And if you watch this video and you look at her form it's all over the place, she has control of nothing. So the moral of the story is just cuz you got a big ball and you wear tights does it mean you're automatically a professional trainer. Every exercise she doesn't this video you could tell she's done it for the first time. Look at her arms her shoulders everything there's not an aesthetic about it the only thing I static is that she got a big butt that's it. And she got a optimal training course? Are you serious
