As an introvert, I'm definitely number 1. Outside school, my friends invite me to drink and all that, so I can't avoid to say "no thanks, I'm not into that" so yeah, I mean I'd try but I don't like doing the things they do at those places, excessive drinking and making out with many strangers 😬, I do feel like I'm exaggerating and that maybe if I go I don't have to do those things, but I still say no 😢

@@listeningtomusicistalentidgaf Thanks, that's a lovely comment of yours < 3. Luckily I know my worth and because they're my friends they accept that I may not want to go (but it's so thoughtful of them to keep inviting me everytime, you know trying to do plans enjoyable enough for everyone when they can be made, and of course I'd go) but most of their plans are the ones I'm not truly comfortable in participating. My issue when I watched this video was remembering that not only my friends are like that, but apparently everyone around me is, so I do sometimes ask myself if I'm missing experiences and opportunities of meeting people / being likeable / attractive because of that 😕 *I have gone to a few parties and stuff and felt good but not my favorite activity to do*

That's fine to say no. Don't feel guilty that you don't wanna hang out with them. Real friends don't force you to come with them then force you to do dirty disgusting acts. @@summerlove6579 well, i dont think u should feel as if ur "missing out on experiences" just cuz ur not doing what they are. There are so many better things to do than excessive drinking and making out with strangers. Also not everyone is like that. U might think that way cuz thats what ur willing to see. As the saying goes "people only see what they want to". Edit :- I would suggest either u change ur friend circle Or just try and do different things alone. But its all upto u anyways. Best wishes!!

I don’t see how it would be unhealthy to not shave your body. All these sigma males on the internet keep speaking about mens needs and how men and women should be behaving in certain patriarchal ways due to their biology. They like to state their sexist ideologies and say they are the natural order of things, yet cannot grapple with the simple fact that most women grow body hair. We did not have razors, or tweezers, or waxing in the wild. It is not a chosen behavior to grow body hair like it is to shower, but yet we behave as though being unshaven is as unhygienic as being unbathed. If body hair is so disgusting, why can men have it? Why should it be permissible for only one gender, when it is natural for both. And besides, why should it matter what you want in a woman? Find a woman who shaves and date her. Stop trying to bully women who choose not to shave into being ashamed of their body hair.

The strange thing in contrast to this video about optimism being more favorable: I as a person find it super grating to have either optimism or pessimism. I've been on all sides. I can at least relate more to pessimism due to my depression and anxiety and years of abuse. But the optimism where someone just tells you without a doubt that everything will be okay. You'll be fine. And all that stuff.. Makes me so pissed off... I'd rather someone say something like: you don't know that, it might just go well. Or, you'll be fine, people don't exactly have that much time and energy to put into trying to track you down and hurt you --(even though IRL that's happened to me in college where they did literally say they would hunt me down in my new school).

Dude, why is the pic with the whole idea that any type of arm hair is unslightly or unattractive? Not cool y’all. Creating a stigma against body hair is insensitive, especially when it’s such a long stretch as some type of negative, dependent innate feature? It’s just really shocking when this channel has always been really sensitive and earnest in their hopes to bring mental health topics to the forefront. I really hope moving forward you can be more thoughtful in the clickbait you illustrate for engagement. Usually body hair disproportionately effects those who are non-white and in turn we are subversively casting shade on people who choose body hair over shaving every hair off and tbh I don’t think it’s fair. Body hair to me doesn’t matter but I DO remember getting picked on in THIRD grade for not shaving off my hair because mine was darker than other kids. It’s not even mentioned in the video so there’s really no need for it. Let this be a learning moment and evolve from it so that it doesn’t happen again.

More folks are just a little "funny looking"... AND there's some pretty awesome company in that!!! Anne Ramsey, Jack Elam, Robert Davi, Don Knotts, Danny DeVito, Alfred Hitchcock, Carol O'Connor, Jack O'Halloran, Buddy Hacket, Tim Conway, and the list just keeps going on and On and ON... Look ANY of them up, if you don't already know who they are. They're not the "Classically Beautiful People" but they were extremely well off, loved by many, and respected by pretty much everybody. Many of them LEANED IN to their particular "brand" of funny looking, and it might suck a little bit to get "Typed", as such... Aren't we ALL "Typed" somewhere??? Someone's even out there right now, making a judgment on a genuinely "Classically Beautiful" person right now. "S/He's completely out of _____'s league"... AND without a thought to what the "Classically Beautiful" person is thinking or likes or would even notice, the effort is deemed "waste" and dismissed. That's not the Beautiful Person's fault. S/He never got a chance either... SO if someone's going to pass a judgment entirely on looks, they're probably not worth any more of your time. It IS worth the time invested to find out, though. That's just basic civility, BUT it doesn't mean subjecting yourself to abuse or anything. Once you find out what someone's about, make your own mind up. It's why we get "free will". ;o)

What if you have some generally awful or dangerous personality traits?

@@Pyxis10 You accept the very reality that NOBODY is perfect... Every night, you go to a mirror if you can, and apologize to yourself for your shortcomings, mistakes, and the general screwing up... AND you FORGIVE yourself for being human, after all. AND every morning, you go back to that mirror, and you promise yourself that you've got a new day, and you WILL put forth lessons from yesterday and try to be just a little bit better... Sometimes it works out better than others, but we ALL slip up. Over time, if we put forth the effort, we GROW and adapt and change over the time. Over time, you'll notice you're apologizing for a lot less, and you've got a lot less to forgive yourself about... some of it even shrinks down and isn't so bad... It doesn't stop it from being a screw up, but it's not a monumental foul, and you ARE making progress. My mother taught me that. I still do it, every night and every morning, because I'm still fumbling shit, missing estimates, and getting frustrated and pissed off... mostly at myself, but when there are other people to here and see me getting pissed off, they feel like I'm angry at them... or that I'm plain old dangerous to be around. BUT I'm not as prone to losing my shit as I used to be. I haven't been outright violent in a long time... though I still scare people. I still don't always even have the ability to care if I survive the next few seconds, which can be uniquely powerful, but comes with equally dangerous. I'm only a work in progress, and I'll be a work in progress for my whole life... BUT apologies and promises or not... If you just aim IN EARNEST to keep trying and improving over time, you're doing alright. You CAN find your way. I believe in you. ;o)

Aloneness can be more fruitful than relationships, especially if you know how to use your time alone. You can really grow as a person by being alone, while sometimes relationships can hinder your development, either because you have to conform to your partner's standards or because you are in a toxic environment. Anyway, being an introvert is cool 😎 especially since you don't have to constantly give yourself up to satisfy the norms of the crowd.

1. As a introvert I am rarely interested in meeting up with people irl and I will never be the first person to suggest it. I don't want the extra attention most get from socializing often. Never really went to many parties and I declined most invites. Some people just don't go out often, it is nothing personal. Just assume someone like that may be a introvert and change your approach to get them to start hanging out with you to make them more comfortable at first if you really want to get to know them. Not saying introverts shouldn't compromise and never agree to go out but if your introvert friend is someone you have only said hi to once in a while at school without ever actually hanging out with them don't just suddenly expect them to open up and agree to go to a big social event right away. Get to know them first and they are more likely to agree cause they are more likely to trust enough go. 2. If you don't me I am one of the quietest people you will ever meet and if you are a good friend sometimes I never shut up. But I am never full of myself or at least I never intend to be if I ever am. If I'm talking a lot usually it is about some tv show or videogame with a friend just being a nerd that occasionally talks to much. 3. Doesn't matter if I sleep for 4 to 6 hours or if I sleep as long as 10 hours, I always look like the person on the right 🤣 I've been on regular sleep schedule getting 8 hours of sleep or more for over a year now and I still look like the pic on the right. 4. I'm actually very pessimistic cause if you prepare for the worst result to happen most of the time it won't happen. However I do think it it is unattractive to constantly talk about it to others constantly going on about your negative problems. You can be pessimistic and just keep those thoughts to yourself. I try my best to make sure I don't complain or even mention most of the problems in my life to my friends. 5. Never used a pickup line once in my entire life. Just not my style. How about just treating the person you are attracted to like a human being. When I used to game with friends at school it didn't matter if you were a guy or girl, as long as you were not toxic and just be friendly and chill everyone was treated and talked to the same way. If I want to talk to a girl I like I just do the same thing, no corny pickup line just talking to her like any of the guys or girls I would game with. So in some ways I think most gaming groups (at least from my day) were very healthy socially.

I'm most certainly 1. but I believe if I have to try hard to garner someone's love, I'll set the wrong expectations towards that person, because they'll never get to know me at my baseline. This is a "Dress up for the job" sort of situation. I know I want to be with another introvert, and so perhaps my venue isn't that party / outing / drinking night that friends are inviting me to... Maybe it's a forest, an anime convention, art club, or game night. I'm 30 so I've experienced much. Very often people fall out of love because one person was trying too hard to be someone they're not / uncomfortable being, and that's what attracted their partner, but once their partner really gets to know them at their baseline / natural state, they feel a bit scammed or unattracted to the person. I decline outings if they're not to my taste, because I can't imagine I'd meet someone compatible with me doing something I don't love. It's healthy to be an 'outgoing' introvert, but you should define what 'outgoing' means to you. Adventures take many forms.

Having a lot of disorders in my head and + autism with a lot of adhd in it doesn't always help in social interaction, but the worst is having BDP. That make everything worst, it is a constant fight with this little voice in your head, always putting you down, wanting you to do bad things. But after a few years, I can confirm to people who have similar to me, you actually can have a good life. I wasn't believing it at first. But after a lot of introspection, I realise that this voice was just the little old me, who is scare of life. And the only thing I had to do, is understanding her, reconforting her, scolding her. This is still difficult today, but this is way less worst than before. You just have to stop to live in fear, concentrate yourself on who you really are and by that, you have to remember who you are when this voice is not here. And I realise I was a really good person, always there for the other, strong, smart, capable of a lot of thing, ambitionous... I can finally see who I am, something that you cannot do when your fear is eating you. More you fear something irrationnaly (like, scare to be left behind by your friends) more you fell in the pattern of your worst fear and then they become reality. But you did it yourself, not the others around you. But I say that, but to be honest, I am pretty lucky. Even if I have a list of diagnostic, everthing is on a little level. So, for somerone who experience a hard level of BPD, I hopes what I say can help, but I know this is a lot harder than what I live everyday. After all, not for nothing that some peoples around me said that to their own opinions, BPD is the worst mental illness for auto-destruction. You just kill yourself, everyday, because you don't understand that all that, in your head, is only memories of what people have said to you in the past. But someone sane and well in their skin never hurt other people like that, only people who are unhappy or unhealthy in their head do that. So, don't take it personnal, make peace with it.

Told the principal and all he did was tell her to not talk to me again... like, if I did that to her I WOULD BE EXPELLED OR IN ISS FOR MONTHS. Still ticks me off how she basically got a slap on the wrist for that. Besides that, schools' curriculums (particularly Literature and Writing) are proven to generally be geared towards what girls like more than boys. On a more personal matter, I hated reading because I grew up being forced to read soppy romances and stuff that made me cringe or bored. I only started liking reading after I finally found an ACTION-PACKED book series geared towards boys, written by a guy.

Why has Psych2go started following red pill ideology? It's these "bad habits", "self improvement" "how to be attractive" things I'm talking about. The thing is, I don't think focusing on "fixing" these natural insecurities is inherently good for your mental health

why are you implying right wing red pillers are the only ones to follow these objectively superior behaviors? just because an insecurity is "natural" doesnt make it good

@@utopiandystopia1383 I don't think red pillers are the only ones doing this no. And what do you mean by objectively superior behavior? I think that continuesly trying to "fix" yourself and becoming a better version of yourself might lead to never feeling good enough and not accepting things as they are. I think that even if you have "bad habits" that make you "less attractive", it doesn't make you less lovable and make you unable to date someone. Sometimes self improvement can be beneficial, and sometimes not.

They have gone a bit grey and shallow with their material lately, at least that's what I feel. Maybe they ran out of stuff to talk about, maybe they just changed, but not in the good direction. Here I am, being pessimistic lol

The thing about "not bragging"... This might be really more complex. I think a lot of people (and especially, ahem... MEN) are very hypocritical about wanting an "intelligent" and accomplished partner. Because as soon as they perceive you as possibly MORE accomplished/intelligent than them (whether they are correct or not about this assumption), they will run away. Sometimes, it's not just about bragging. What if you really ARE an outstanding student, or if you truly have many talents, or a really great career? What if your achievements always come across, somehow, as "too much"? Sometimes, it really doesn't matter how you present yourself. Just BEING who you are will scare people off. Not to mention the fact that there are contradictory messages about this. I remember watching a video telling people that they should never "dim their light", because if by being themselves, they come off as threatening because they have a big personality or many talents, then, trying to be super humble and hide all of this means you are not showing your true colours, and starting a relationship on a lie. If the other person is insecure, eventually, it WILL become a problem.

1:57 I have to disagree bc 2 says that they don’t like the attention but if they don’t why would they have to say it so directly “I’m smart” and 1 says “I’m a pretty good student” which is definitely more humble then “I’m smart”

I kept making excuses for a friend to not come in to my house because she would just invite herself over like every other day. It got to the point she invited herself and a stranger over to our house without saying anything before hand. Turns out the person she brought over wasn't just a stranger, but someone my sister hates. Anyways, is that bad that I tried to make excuses to not hang out with my friend? And would that make people not like me?

No , in this case is not bad , she just never respected your boundaries. The facts in this video are not absolute you know ; i have a friend that is sooo introverted and barely even talks to three ppl but she always gets so much attention from the guys bcs they like that she is mysterious and selective. Some of your personality traits and behaviours might be really attractive to some , just be you if you want to find someone who really suits you!

It can come off as socially unattractive but your still allowed to set boundaries and unless you said something to the degree of, "my door is always open" she should not be inviting herself over

"invites herself over" bro i could never😭😭 And no, this video does not apply to you. Your friend does not seem to have any boundaries at all and she's rude and disrespectful but who knows (i think you might know) that she's unaware and does it because she thinks she's very close to you and you don't mind. If that's the case then you need to let her know politely that you do not like her behaviour and random coming to your house without notice lol

In my experience (being the attracter) listening to people and not being on your phone or having headphones in while they talk helps a lot, also knowing when to casually touch them, appearance really isn’t everything, I mean, it sort of is but if your very kind and take care of others then it sort of over powers it! I hope that helps? Sorry im not too good at explaining

I think this is kinda bias towards the normal or accepted behavior , I am afraid that it will drive some people to try to be what they are not and look fake. The worst thing you can do is find a partner or friends by being fake it just lead to problems.
