I've watched all three of these now and they're about the most useful Logic Pro X help I've gotten so far. I'm spending time on KZbin tutorials and Lynda.com and that's all good. But now that I've started to use Logic for recording these tips have really helped a lot to move things along. Really good work here. Thanks

I tried the method in the video and found it a PITA when I wanted to add effects. I ended up reverting to individual tracks again so I could put effects on them without all of them having the effects.And pressing solo and mute was nauseating. Just one would do them all. When you have over 10 other channels it gets muddled.

Hi Stefan !! Love your videos I learn a lot from you, please keep this up! Many blessings and great job-keep doing what you do(: I am just starting to produce my own beats and have an akai mpc professional, an m-audio keyboard an akai mpk25 and an lpk25 laptop keyboard...I am trying to figure out how to make my workflow smoother. Is there a way I can possibly connect all my hardware under one software and if so how so?? I am trying to produce on mac software right now just can't figure out how to connect my keyboards to this software as well... I would like to learn my mpc before I start playing with my mpk25 if you could possibly give me any guidance in this will greatly appreciate Stefan!!(: Also, I am on mac and have logic.... when it comes to logic and I connect my mac it makes it so much more confusing for me because I don't know how to add sounds to the pads on hardware mac and make everything flow nicely. I am barely learning mpc software.. and beat production as a whole. Thanks in advance! Have a great day..greetings from the usa!

Love your videos, I have been an avid watcher for a long time now. I appreciate the way you break things down. What is the best use of an external hard drive? I bought a 4TB to be able to save my iMac from getting too overloaded. How would you recommend I use this external HD to help logic run better while lower the impact on my internal hard drive? Thank you for your advise in advance.
@stefanguy7 жыл бұрын
+Bryan Butler hey Bryan, firstly thanks man!!! 4TB wow that’s a beast! In a nutshell, backup, archiving and storing samples. The latter two regarding helping Logic run better. Archiving to store finished projects (although i’d recommend storing them in the cloud too) and running your samples off of your external both to free up space. More space the better a computer runs. Logic also runs better with samples coming straight off a HD too. Most sample libraries will allow you to choose to put your samples on an external HD. But Logic doesn’t. But you can do it by following this video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qIu8eZ6QjsSZotk
