Idea for next year, consider doing lunar new year designs with other cultures like Korean or Vietnamese. IIRC, Korean zodiac is similar to the Chinese zodiac.

I'm not Chinese but I've done some research over the last 2 years to design for "year of the ox and tiger". I think for the Chinese tradition the animal means a lot more than our numeric system. You can tell that by the time they celebrate the year's change (22 days later) so if anyone wants to design for the theme, focus more on the rabbit.

Hi Juna, thank you for all your helpful videos. Just wondering which Kittl membership to get. Is the Pro enough? Although just a beginner I don’t want to be limited re number of projects or that I can only use limited templates. Please give your opinion and maybe advise what you have? Thank you, Wendy

It really depends how many designs you plan to do...... If you are doing one a week or so I think Pro is enough... if you are planning on doing multiple designs a day I would probably upgrade but the good news is you can try them out... try pro first and if it's not enough, upgrade

I'm new to Etsy. I have two questions, please. I sold two shirts on Etsy at a price of $16 each, excluding shipping fees and taxes, the customer paid $45.65 via Paypal, the order was from the UK market, I shipped the order by Printful, and it arrived after three days. To be surprised There is an additional fee payable on Etsy of $10.05, which includes VAT and sales fees, meaning I sold at a loss of $8. What is the best price for a T-shirt classique unisexe | Bella + Canvas 3001? What is the best POD platform that I can integrate with Etsy? Thanks for the video.

I like Printful.... but some people use Printify.... I was charging $26 per shirt about 2-3 years ago, it's probably more now.... Etsy/Printful has lots of fees.... it makes it hard to be profitable.

Kittl is fantastic but it's somewhat expensive for my pocket right now. I hope to remember to change the DPI from 72 to 300 :)

@@DetourShirts what do you mean? It's not necessary to set the DPI to 300? 72 DPI is for screens if I remember well.

300 is better but the resolution is so high (4500x5400) that if you download the 72 DPI version you will see that it is plenty crisp and it's printing on a t-shirt so it doesn't have to be super crisp anyway.

First, you can do something similar... Canva FREE has different graphics. Second, I use 4500 x 5400 for tshirts but to have something that fits all products use... 5000 x 5500. Third, yes if you have a Chinese New Year design upload it to TeePublic.

Juna, what's the reason for the 4500 x 5500? And does it matter if you don't set DPI to 300? Thanks!!

The reason is that Amazon Merch on Demand used to require that size exclusively for all their products... they don't require it anymore but I still use it.... 300 dpi is ideal but the 72 dpi will work because of the higher resolution.

You may not have the right fonts..... You can try it on Canva..... they have some good fonts to use

I've used Kittl plenty for creating designs for myself to upload, but what about creating SVG's as digital download/cut files? I saw that each element still has a path, but would that be bad if selling SVGs downloaded directly from Kittl?

Using templates is easy but not original 😉, 100 similar designs will make no sales but increase competition. I use Kittl but not in traditional way 😀
