Coming from a family with alcoholics and addicts, no one seems to ever lay blame on the person drinking, popping or injecting the substance, especially the user. It's a road started by choice. They go after everyone else and get rehab for the one who starts it. Well the guy is gone so he can't take ownership of his usage. There's no justice in going after the others. Perry did what he wanted to do, no one forced him to do it.

My perspective is that the providers/dealers need to be primarily responsible because when you're applying such high doses, the addict will become progressively more impaired to make their own decision to quit. Different narcotics have different degrees of restricting the user, and in this particular case I hope the providers/dealers go down for it hard and sets a stronger precedent. The good thing about celebrity cases is that it can put a spotlight on a bigger problem. There's a chronic issue with doctors prescribing varying degrees of painkillers who chase down their patients after prescriptions to sell them more, not even a coke dealer will do that! This issue happens a lot with wrestlers (for example), who have their joints ground to dust from years of wrestling, they take painkillers, and the provider will continue to chase them down and sell it to them, and it's hard for them to say no because 1. they're in a hell of a lot of pain all of the time, and 2. they're already wankered on painkillers, thus way too impaired to make this decision themselves. - These particular kinds of doctors are beyond evil!

Hey Larry! I'm in hospital recovering from an overdose the first month of being here I was in la la land but thankfully mentally I have made a full recovery, I do blame myself because I took the drugs but I also think there should be blame placed on the "friends" that encouraged me to take them... Ultimately I believe I was a guinea pig for them to test what they were selling or how much room they had to cut it down before people would notice it's not the real deal, at first it was fun but clearly by the end of it I was a wreck... Friends and family are amazed I have no brain damage and from this experience I'd like to share that just because 1 is fun doesn't always mean more is better, if you're going to experiment with designer drugs just be careful and if things do get out of hand call a hospital tell them what happened and get help before it's too late, almost was for me... Also to add sure my brain is fully functional again but I'm going through physio learning how to walk again

Hi Larry just found your you tube channel. It is unfortunate about Matthew Perry. Being the stepmom of a Son who died of a heroin overdose I do have some opinions on drugs and deaths from overdoses. If you go back as far as Elvis Presley's death. He too was an addict. An addict will get their drugs however they can. Locking up all the drug dealers in these deaths doesn't solve the drug problem in the U.S. In fact it just exasperates the overpopulated prison system. Lock up everyone involved in these deaths? Another drug dealer will just take their place. It's greed that motivated the Dr's prescribing these drugs. What about all the deaths from the homeless population in our country. Do those drug dealers get locked up? You have to remember the addict' s responsibility in these deaths. I went into the police station to discuss this issue. I did admit my stepson's role in his own death. What i discussed with the police department was the people he was using with were on parole and did not call 911. They allowed him to die for fear of going back to prison. That's a very selfish way to watch someone turn blue in front of you and die. If Matthew Perry did not get his drugs from them... and wanted drugs he would have found them from someone else. This is just a reflection of exactly how Michael Jackson died. From the greed of Dr's. In this death and Michaels, it came down to the all mighty dollar. Sic.
