3:00 I think this is why we lack modern Islamic Political thought. Many ulema don't want to comment on politics and many politicians have misunderstanding or short comings in the Deen. I wish we had ulema who are well versed in Shariah and Aqeedah who can give their thoughts from the Quran and Sunnah and also be equipped in political thought.

Jazakhullah kharian Sheikh for this amazing video. If a group who claims to be bringing sharia, yet themselves committed suicide and killed innocent people, kidnapping young boys raising them as fighters. How can we accept such people? I'm also, glad that the prior government is gone, because not only they stole the people's money, they also killed innocent people, they brought a lot of fitna within Afghanistan. I pray that Allah SWT grant Afghanistan a leader and a government which will be for the good of Islam and for all Afghans. Ameen!

Where it becomes concerning is...for any group of ppl...who are representing any religion of God...to then turn around and commit distasteful, heinous acts of sin in His name or as part of any religion...against their own or against another religion...we firmly believe religion doesn't belong in politics...religion and how we choose to become better ppl is a personal decision... To govern a wide array or nation of ppl...and of many different religions and beliefs...takes a special leader with understanding, love, a keeping in mind the kind of population they are guiding and what is needed to progress as a nation...(how can any nation move forward if ppl are futilely bickering, fighting, and even killing?...obliviously over the same God?)...who strives toward creating balance while remaining flexible...governing idealistically with the concept of basic humanity of all🙏

While I agree that U.S. government interests had/have absolutely nothing to do with compassion for humans or for human rights, especially in Muslim majority lands, as an Afghan, I can assure you that the Taliban violate even some of the most BASIC aspects of Islam and are extremely brutal and oppressive. They are a "tribal" movement that prioritizes their ethnic customs above Islam, and do NOT follow Islam when the two conflict. Many of their members have committed murder of Muslims who are non-Pashtuns despite the Qur'aan explaining the reward for killing believers is Hellfire and our Prophet (saws) had fought against tribalism and united everyone REGARDLESS OF RACE/TRIBE. The Taliban as a whole have (as was alluded to in the video) severely violated human and women's rights, many of the Taliban even FORCE teenage girls to marry them against their will and then keep them confined in their house for sex and household chores/cooking. They do NOT believe in or practice basic principles from the Qur'aan such as "Laa ikraaha fid-deen" (i.e., let there be no compulsion in religion), etc., etc., etc. With all of that said, I am not taking sides with the U.S. government, either. If I had to choose between being bombed by a kaafir government or being forced to live under racist, armed and brutally violent groups of predominantly illiterate villagers who would force our young daughters to marry them under the threat of being beat with horsewhips and/or her family killed, the former is far better than the latter, because the former at least would result in a quick end to the suffering as opposed to having to endure severe oppression and lack of basic freedom and human rights for the LONG-TERM. As the Qur'aan explains, oppression is worse than slaughter, and just because the group committing the oppression identify as so-called "Muslims" does not make them alright. They need to be disposed from power from within, but hypocritical governments such as the Pakistani and Saudi governments have been aiding the Taliban and ensuring they will remain in power.
