Emmure is a band that's hated or loved by many, a polarizing fact. The fans are supporters of their deathcore like style that may even take a cue from a band like Limp Bizkit, while the detractors have a bunch of reasons of their own to distance themselves from the group. Lets look at those reasons.

Met Frankie a couple times, one of the most respectful and fun artists I've ever been chilling with. Most people 'hate' Frankie and Emmure because it's 'cool' to do. If you love metal, you don't have any argument to hate him. Not even the 0-0-00-00-000 one.

In my experience, it seems to be more cool to hate Metallica and Slayer. It's not "cool" to me to dislike Emmure, it's an opinion. The world would be boring if we all liked the same thing.

Rossen The 00-0-00 one is ABSOLUTELY a good argument. These guys are getting paid to play guitar parts someone who has been playing for 1 week can play. There is absolutely no kind of music theory or creativity in their music. Justin Beiber, One Direction, Demi Lovato etc are infinitely more talented than Manure, which is sad for a "metal" band. There are very legitimate reasons to hate this band.

Rossen I love metal. But Emmure is one of my least favorite bands. Especially in deathcore which is one of my favorite genres. I don't like the band because it's just way too repetitive and Is only chugs basically. I mean there are bands who do the mostly chugging sound right, like a lot of downtempo deathcore bands and the acacia strain and stuff, but to me Emmure just doesn't do it in as much of a tasteful way. In the acacia strain for example, there is a little bit more going on than just chugs, and it has some really catchy breakdowns and grooves for me, and in downtempo it just creates a really tense atmosphere in my opinion. Not to mention that Emmure has literally directly copied songs from other bands(like the acacia strain). I mean I admit there are like a few songs that I like... But only enough to count on my finger basically. If you like them, cool, but those are the reasons why I don't like them.

People hate because a simple things can work so we and be so powerfully moving with out much complexity. I see the same lame ass argument in edm cults. Guarantee they can play way more complex and technical stuff but there isnt always a need. Haters gonna hate tho

Mister ToastyRyeGuy that's not really the reason why I dislike Emmure. I like some occasional simple bands to listen to, even simple deathcore bands, like downtempo deathcore in particular. But Emmure... They just sound too bland to me a majority of the time. Maybe not in like 4 songs that I heard, that I fell in love with back when I was a fan of them, but after a while the music itself and the constant repetitious and immature lyrics just kinda bored me. To me, they aren't powerfully moving. While for example, black tongue, filth, traitors and what not, they kind of just manage to create a very heavy, knuckle dragging, angry and/or hateful atmosphere to me, which is quite a bit more "powerful" sounding to me personally. Plus it helps that some of their riffs are kind of catch to me and what not. The only Emmure songs I particularly liked were catchier generally, and it was mostly the more melodic tracks. Or they just weren't all entirely chugging. Probably only one song I actually liked by them had a lot of chugging. Maybe all of their stuff is more "powerfully moving" to you, but sorry dude, they aren't exactly powerfully moving to me. But that's just my opinion personally. You don't have to agree with it, and it doesn't mean we can't get along, as long as you respect it I guess.

It is kind of ridicoulus that I'm hearing Emmure nonstop since 2 months now and that they are one of the rare bands which just don't get boring to me. I mean they have a lot of 0s in their tabs. I know why I love them. They got a badass bass sound; tribal mixed hardcore rhythms and some of the most brutal breakdowns and drops I've ever heard. Also they remind me a bit of Limp Bizkit with their mixing ''idgaf'' and ''fuck you all'' image in their songs although these two bands are obviously playing in different genres. I just love, how I really feel the anger and the strength and cruelty in every song they play. It is full of emotions although some of you guys might disagree on this one. When I hear Emmure I just can't stand still and feel power flowing through my whole body. And this is what good music is to me. Not necessarily to feel power but emotions in general while listening to it.
