Lexus NX is lower cost to own compared to other luxury brands but more expensive to own compared to Toyota or other conventional brands. Even though it's not a 1 to 1 comparison. All luxury vehicles are more expensive to own or lease. In the video, I'll share some key points to consider.

You miss out the following reasons why Lexus is more expensive than your typical Japanese/Korean cars 1. Lexus are built stronger than it's sibling Toyota (stronger body panels and bumpers) 2. Better sound insulation. 3. Better upholstery materials and finer workmanship 4. Better panel fitting, inside and outside 5. Higher quality parts. Front head lights, tail gate lights don't fade easily and they maintain their sharp clean looks longer

Good video. I had an RX years ago. I kept telling my wife, no wonder these cars last so long. Every 5 k miles a maintenance light pops up for scheduled maintenance I had that car at lexus for routine oil checkups constantly. I get but come on.

We are now doing the oil every 5k after a few mechanics including CarCarNut mentioned it. Rotating tires at the same time.

Why would someone compare maintenance of a toyota to a lexus is just out f this world comparison😂. I dont see a point of comparing a mainstream to a luxury car. Lexus is a luxury compare it with the same a luxury car and youll be surpirsed it much much less expensive than other cars😂

Many people may not know the differences between Lexus and Toyota costs. Lexus is still a Toyota and share many similar features. Lexus luxury is still way cheaper than Benz or BMW for example.

First Lexus is a luxury car. Toyota is not. Lexus Competes with Benz and BMW Toyota does not. Also to boot The Lexus is way quieter on the road than a Toyota. Yes the new Toyota are better but still not as good as a Lexus.

In Toronto Canada, there’s an added premium surcharge of $1500 every year if you don’t install an engine immobilizer now. That’s an additional cost on top of the regular premium. Plus Toyota/Lexus won’t allow any other brands of engine immobilizer installed but their own Compustar brand. Owning a Lexus these days is not for your average middle class citizen.

Add range Rovers, Benz and BMW to the list. They all get stolen.
