As usual, an incredible video teaching how to make kind strong children!! That subscriber number better keep rising and more parents find this channel and create a better world and future, what is happening right now around the world is the best example of how we failed children with gentle parenting, we fell to one side and overcorrected which created individuals that take no personal accountability and lost all basic morals and values

Oh, wow. I feel same as with playgrounds getting safer and safer, online content gets sanitized too. Creators are so afraid to step on anybody's toes, that most content becomes super generic. Kudos to you for being brave.

could you make a video with some hands-on scripts on how to talk our kids through disappointments like being rejected by a previously best friend, or not being selected for the sports team, or failing at something that was important to them.... some scripts of how one can most constructively offer support in such times would be much appreciated.

#4 - Coaching has been a pillar in our house. And the best thing about this tool is that it builds on itself; every situation that is difficult, but they get through is another example (that they can notice themselves) that they can do challenging things!

Some of these advice might seem reasonable but most importantly parents should model strength and resilience. If you are stressed out and cannot show up as a mentor, your children will still get anxiety, feel helpless because they can’t help you. This is a very acute issue of modern times. But as a society we learn as we go.

Interesting perspectives. Can you point to references in the scientific and academic community that back up the advice that you've presented here? Your old videos did that, which is part of the reason why I liked your content - any content backed up by rigorous science and real-world/professional experience stands apart from the countless opinions presented online.

When discussing parenting techniques, there is no need to lean solely on academic communities. It’s best not to fall into the appeal of authority. Academic communities make harmful recommendations all the time
@Kevin-sy3jt8 ай бұрын
@@DuskyRosette I don't lean "solely" on science, but it should never be omitted from the discourse. I'm curious why it has been here.

@@Kevin-sy3jt Why should general opinions of academic/scientific communities be present in every discourse?
@littlejourneyseverywhere8 ай бұрын
@@Kevin-sy3jt I too always liked her citations in old videos. I'd rather see studies and academic examples of what she's talking about like she use to have over 'here's my book/workshop/course/etc, go buy it.' I do like spring my favorite creators and understand that they have to make a living to keep giving us good content but i feel like there's something missing from Avital's content now that use to be there that just isn't anymore.

The advices are fine, but this overstating how the current state of society is preaching this or that was a little too much for me. I feel like modern moms fixate too much on their online or immediate bubble, where the reality is still that most kids get hit by parents and sport coaches or experience different kind of abuse. So the narrative that we got too gentle with our kids doenst seem fitting. But again, the advices are reasonable.
