This was my relaxing Sunday night watch, with just me and the doggies. I loved the shuttle ride through tunnel at the airport, I watched that 3 times. As usual, such excellent video editing and "bumper music", especially at 8:28 to 8:58 topped off when the Edelweiss reappears in the window after an earlier capture. Bravo. Oh my, those toes sticking out under your seat. Beautiful scenery on the trip report. I love the trains and train stations. You and you fam have so much energy!

Great video, Jayden! ZRH airport is so nice with its huge windows and great plane spotting. It was great that the FAs took the time to collect the meal preferences of the OW elite members. You don’t see that a lot any more. Lugano looked gorgeous. I took that same train from Zurich to Milan. It was beautiful scenery on that trip. Glad you were able to take a dip in the lake.

yep I was pleasantly surprised with the crew greeting us (both sapphire). On CX it’s usually emerald only. Very easy to identify them as the crew treat them like royals😂 Oh my I miss the lakes in Switzerland!! Can’t wait for next summer to go back haha

I object your suggestion of not using plastic lid. I was on QR839 from BKK to DOH this year and I felt asleep. Thanks to the plastic lid , my meal was still warm after I got up after 2 hours +. Still mildly warm for my meal. If it’s aluminium lid my meal would have been cold already

Hello Jayden, glad you both travelled through the Alps to Ticino (the Italian-speaking canton). At one time there would be connecting flights from LUG to ZRH but LX how insists its passengers take the train (as part of its air-rail scheme). Not all Luganese are happy with this arrangement ... they are tempted to fly long-haul from Milan MXP which is fairly close.

Our school trip long ago was always to Lugano. It doesn't look much changed from then. I remember the prices being reasonable with the exchange rate being about 12 francs to the pound. How cold was the water in the lake? You must insure your legs Jayden - they are model quality now ! 😘

they do allow advance seat selection. Usually comes with a fee. Those 2x2 are usually at the front. May not be available on all aircraft type

Was the toilet clean throughout the flight? My experience of Qatar in economy was not great, the toilets were not maintained, even on long haul. The food I always found good. The service could improve as they don’t seem to have enough staff in economy whilst staff themselves were polite and friendly.
