@@AliexFolgueira Forgot about the Getaway. Don’t have any experience with either, but see a lot more fishing videos with Lynxes than I do Getaways. Not sure of the quality difference. But the price difference is substantial

I bought a new hobie outback in 2020 (2nd Hobie kayak, 1st with pedals). Had an issue with a broken drive in 2021 and dealing with their CS and warranty was a nightmare. I had to send them my drive (since the dealer I purchased at had closed because of covid) and didn't receive a new drive until 4 months later after several phone calls and ignored emails (kayak was down for close to 6 or 7 months). Then the very next season (2022), I attempted to warranty my hull due to a crack forming at my scupper hole from their scupper cart causing damage. They denied my warranty claim after going back and fourth for several days via email. I ended up paying someone locally to attempt to fix the crack and sold the boat for a sizable loss. Hobie lost me as a customer for life!

I've been kayak fishing sense end of 2014, stared with a used 2014 PA12 that was basically new. Fished it up until 2 years ago I upgraded to pa12-360. I absolutely love my 360 drive! After having the 360 drive I couldn't go back, Kayak position control is on a completely different level. I've never had a motor I'm fine pedaling. I can go all day multiple days in a row without getting tired or sore I've been doing it so long now, it's easier than walking...

I have Hobie outback 2020 180. It's been very reliable. Probably fished it 100 trips with zero issues. Fishing machine!

I'm seriously considering getting a Lynx. I car top my kayak and I don't take a ton of gear on the water with me so it would be great. The only thing giving me pause is seeing people starting to have some issues with the customer service as you pointed out in another video.

find a local big hobie dealer, just frankly ask them questions, hey are you having issues with warranties what happens if this or that happens, actually go to a few dealers and ask, compare answers, someone will tell you the truth, then make your decision.

I love my Hobies but I'm also not brand loyal, I would like to try other pedal drive kayaks out, just haven't had the opportunity to. I know be hard to loose the 360 drive manuverability after being so used to having it. Thanks for bringing the warranty & dealer issues to light! Hopefully Hobie does something about it

I'm on several hobie Facebook groups. There are quite a few people finding cracks in the hull, specifically around the drive pod well, and the front hatch bungee tie downs. and if it's "above the water line," Hobie will tell you it's cosmetic and do nothing about it. People reported this within the first year of use.

Have no experience with Hobie products. And although my Native Titan 12 lacks some of the features that make other kayaks more adaptable for fishing, that was one of the aspects that sold me. I kayak for pleasure and fishing but I also wanted a vessel to use traversing Lake Jocassee in the upstate of S.C to access Game Management land for deer hunting.

It would be nice to have the linx or a super light pedal drive yak, but their to exspensive to own 2 pedal drives yaks. I would only use the lighter kayak maybe 1 out of every 15 trips for really really hard places to get. Definitely to exspensive for not much use. Any recommendations on an extremely light pedal drive yak that's not super expensive???

Aliex, the office vid was cool. And you did a great job bro. You were on point with a lot of topics. I love Hobie's, and they're beautiful, just not for me. And it's not the $$ You and Dave, almost had me buy the Hobie Outback orange Camo that day, from his shop. I like my flip down rudders. Not a fan of the rudder under the hull, just like The Titans. But we all have our preference. And I notice the bow hatch trying to be like Hobie on others, and Hoodoo has the sail rigging hole in the cockpit. 💯 🌊 🛶

Hobie is as you mentioned the leader and I have enjoyed their kayaks, quality build, reliability etc..but their warranty process lately (3 years) has been not to the leader standards.

Im admittedly biased. I have had 8 Hobie kayaks since 2010. Currently have 2 2021 revo11 kayaks and a dinosaur 2004 sport. Zero complaints from me
