This are all fantastic advice. The kingdom is super important. Pretty much every instalation is great as it will help you keep a nice supply of items when you need them. Coffers are important but so is increasing your stores for items as those fill up EXTREMELY quick. Thankfully, you get a lot of explorer guild people very quickly. Their skills are actually pretty fantastic if you play on harder difficulties. Another must is using tactic points, both for damage and defense. This are integral in harder difficulties. In those you really feel it whenever you lag behind in some way. Be it kingdom management, sloppy tactics or on levels

I agree. I'm surprised that this is a Thursday release in the US. Why not the normal Tuesday release? That's when many new games launch and an extra 2 days probably didn't make a whole lot of difference for the launch.

Actually I have to go to Vegas for Work on Saturday and wont get home till Monday night so I have a bit of waiting... I can't decide if I want to play tomorrow night or finish up the AC Origins Curse of the Pharaoh DLC which is a very good expansion for the game.

nah, i think it's set a couple hundred years after the first. i do kinda hope for some references though (like maybe a statue of Oliver, main character, somewhere or maybe a descendant that doesnt play a huge role or anything and maybe only hinted at being a descendant) and a couple characters might return, like the mother of the Faeries or Drippy both of who is long lived, but in general i REALLY doubt you;ll need to know anything about the first game to get into this one.

I need to play the first game before I'd buy this and I'm sad as it looks like something I'd fall in love with being a fan of Ghibli 🎥, I only came to PS this generation from Xbox and I'm sure I'm far from alone so never got the chance to play the original!😔, it's not even on the UK PS Now yet it is in the states and Asia I think!? This one is set hundreds of years after the first. There are some small nods to the first, but you're good to play this one without playing the first.

Wait a minute the MC is a guy? 😂😂😂 regardless this game is starting to catch my attention. I usually enjoy JRPGs but 30 hours seems a little lite for game time for this type of game...

That’s just for the main story quests as far as I can tell. After about 10 hours you will start having side quests that are useful to do. I’m almost at 30 hours now and haven’t advanced the main story all that much. Basically, I think there’s plenty of content to keep you occupied for more than 30 hours.
