Well they can smoke freely coz till late nineties we did not have laws which banned cigarettes or smoking to be not shown on TV... Till late nineties tobacco and alcohol advertisements too were there everywhere.. You definitely can criticize today too, however all that social media has done has reduced the scale of criticism to a comment, dislike etc. The need of the hour is PILs, RTIs etc.. Coz there is a lot of crap happening today, more so than congress days.. When I was growing up, I heard a lot of people saying congress is the party for India coz its all about khao aur Khane do.. BJP was the party for the so called baniyas who would just not like anybody to make a profit except for them! Clearly, it's a sin to demand better in this country..
