He is a pretty underrated winner imo, he used his fake idols to put him in good with sugar, made kenny and crystal ruin their own games, convinced sugar to put him in fire against matty aka the only threat to win and destroyed him in fire. He gets a lot of flak for how docile he was in FTC where he seems just stunned to be there

@@chriskelly6019 I'm a big fan of Bob. It's one of the sort of minority of things that I completely disagree with Idled Out on: the final three in Gabon were pretty good. You reminded me how going along with Sugar on her fake idol pranks may have actually been a good move on Bob's part that saved him at the final four.

Danni's strategy still feels applicable today. Just this season on Big Brother Jared started hardcore targeting America because he felt he was being asked way too many questions by the producers about how much he did or didn't trust her. It's an absolute meta game but it seems to pay off more often than not. Producers aren't going to talk to you very much about stuff that is not relevant to the game. Sure, you'll get a cursory question or two about every permutation but they'll also focus on the most salient things.

One could argue that Tony's early elimination in Game Changers was part of his long term strategy to reduce his threat level for future games. He lasted 6 days, played like a fool, and by the time WAW came along people didn't remember him for his dominant game in Cagayan, they remember how goofy he was in Game Changers.
@crazyinsanepenguin

even if Game Changers was strategy for later seasons, people still remembered Tony's Cagayan season vividly. And he was still considered a MASSIVE threat on WaW regardless of what happened in Game Changers. That's why Sandra wanted him out immediately, and why he had to use the "lions vs hyenas" strategy to mobilize all the big threats during the pre-merge. RHAP (who didn't think he could possibly win the season) ranked him in the top five in terms of threat-level before the season started.

That’s kinda the point tho. Look at David’s fake idol in MilvGenX. It was just a bunch of shells. It worked bc real idols were just a bunch of shells. These simpler idols make making fake ones more accessible. I hate the new premade fake idols in the new era tho. It takes the skill of the creating and the social skill of lying out of it. Edit: I like Cambodia bc idols STILL did look ornate but Kelley still made a believable fake just using the things around her.

Think a lot of people kinda overrate Erika’s game. She tried to play hard pre merge which made her have a massive target on her back, then got saved with the hourglass. Obviously survivor has an element of luck but she didn’t have agency in the game until the end because of her misplays at the start; so was seen as a goat in a sense.

Video idea. Survivor Best Suited Challenges. Basically, regardless of performance, which challenges *felt like* they played EXACTLY into someone's strengths. Think a basketball player needing to shoot buoys into a net, ah yes a rafting instructor in a kayaking challenge, Debbie in anything... Essentially, based on their occupation or fun fact they give in confessionals (e.g. Christian happened to make algorithms for the puzzle in the opening challenge of David vs Goliath, perfect)

I wish the advantage plays in 43 were included. Both Noelle using the steal a vote, and Jesse playing an idol were done not for the actual advantage. on paper, they actually played them incorrectly. HOWEVER, Noelle stole Owen’s vote to make James comfortable. Jesse played an idol (doesn’t matter if it was Cody’s or not for my point) to make Karla feel paranoid and flush her idol. To sum up, production had advantages with very intended purposes but Jesse and Noelle used them NOT for those purposes.

I just want to show you, it goes both ways). Anyway, Deshawn was a messy player and Xander did nothing to control the votes. (The steal an idol thing was Evvie's idea).
