It’s a total BS made up story which I ranted about all the inconsistencies in it. If you’re going to send it in to LR, it should be true, or read, re-read, have your friend read it, then your mom, aunt, and cousin read it to make sure it sounds true.

For the last one, Terry doesn't have to justify himself, and why he forgives the murderers. He doesn't owe anyone anything. It's really hard to imagine the inner work he had to do to come to the place he is right now. The only thing we can send to him is respect and encouragement.

I just feel a sense of dread, hopelessness and depression when listening to those, especially the last one. @@Panda-cute you really can’t say what is or isn’t your thing till you actually go through it yourself , I was of the same thinking as you positive that if I had ever been put in a position where someone hurt me or took someone I loved I could and would never forgive them , then my daughter was killed by a drunk driver when she was 10 and I realized that the anger and hate I felt was crippling my life and my mental stability , I had to learn to forgive and get passed all the hate and blame or I would never be able to move on or live a normal life, when you forgive the act and the person who caused your pain you open up your heart to healing your soul it will forever remain broken if you hold on to so much anguish and hate .

That’s great that forgiveness helped you, but my abuser doesn’t deserve forgiveness. I have moved on for my own sake, not hers- she deserves the pain of knowing that I do not forgive her and never want to see her again. I have no choice in living with her choices, so she gets no more grace from me. I am sorry for your experience, but please understand that it doesn’t invalidate my own. I feel blessed to be married to one of the kindest, most patient, and hardworking guy I’ve ever met. And to think his family grew up so poor they lived in camping tents and his mom was murdered in 2004. He likes to play COD a lot, but that’s his time to relax and our cat sits next to him while he plays. It’s the cutest thing. We are both introverts so it works. Plus, he doesn’t mind that I’m listening to this channel any time I can, and that’s my time to decompress. I dated THE WORST narcissist before I met Scott and I was feeling defeated and unlovable, but he didn’t give up and I’m thankful for that. It’s been 10 years now and we’ve been through a lot together.

That's amazing! Many folks had/have "that one guy" who turns out to be a total vain and useless narcissist. I'm happy for you and Scott! It seems like you guys are indeed making it work from the sound of things. As introverts, that time to decompress is vital. I can relate. As for me, I'm dating two other trans women, which is to say I am also a trans woman. Except, I dislike most identity labels because they seem to define things down to a single, simple type of concept, when in reality we are far more complex than words can describe. In short, it takes being open, honest and skilled pragmatism to make it all work out. Anytime of the day I begin to feel overwhelmed, I simply just express my need to be alone for a while, and my partners are SO damn wonderful/amazing by being there for me. Anyway yeah...I too need my "me time".

I know many of this will likely be mentioned in the video, but I'd like to share my little bit of testimony regarding the last story. The Caffey murders actually happened close to the home of my extended family in Emory, TX. My cousin Tate lived there and grew up with Tyler. I was just turning 8, so my memory of it all is a bit fuzzy, but I recall the day it all came out. For a while, we assumed some crazy killer was on the loose and had just slaughtered an entire family. No one knew where Erin was and all the news was saying was that she was missing and her father was rushed to the hospital after crawling to a neighbor's house and calling 911. When he recovered, Erin manipulated him for weeks claiming she wasn't involved. To this day, as far as I understand, she still hasn't told Terry her full involvement. It is devastating to know Tyler's last moments, and to watch my family grieve the loss of a friend. Even more terrible to see Terry give speeches and answers to the city in his time of mourning the loss of all of his family, Erin included as the investigation went on. Many blessings to Terry for being able to find forgiveness despite what he likely knows. Regardless of what she says or what he doesn't argue about, I think he knows what her true intentions were that day, and the sparing of his life was God's hand saying "it's not your time." When it all burned down, Terry went out to the property with the intent to take his own life. Instead, he found a page burned from a book that had somehow made it out of the charred rubble. It read "[God,] I couldn’t understand why You would take my family and leave me behind to struggle along without them. And I guess I still don’t totally understand that part of it. But I do believe that You’re sovereign; You’re in control." According to his testimony, this saved his life. I still find myself flashing back to that day. Although it didn't affect me personally, it did affect a loved one and I'm sure many who were blessed to truly know the Caffey's. I pray Terry is still finding, and continues to find, happiness in his every day life. I know he has remarried, but nothing can truly heal the loss of your family, especially your children. May he always have God on his side.

I must add that page in the book can be related to the book of job in the bible. Job lost his property, family, money, EVERYTHING but his life was spared. Job never truly understood why these things happened to him but he knew that god is in control and he decides tho dies or not with various reasons and explanations we can never ever understand.

The three kinds of truth are actually as follows: 1. Objective truths (truth that is empirical regardless of situation). 2. Subjective truths (truth that changes depending on the circumstance) and 3. Personal truth (truth that is only in the eyes of the beholder, but is 100% real for them)

Apparently I never finished my listen of this video and KZbin brought me back here; I'm glad that it did. Terry's tale of tragedy was well worth listening to. I'm an advocate of true crime, from what can be learned through it, and there is a collection of young women who motivate a man to help them kill their families (as many seem to relish a female perp, that would be a legitimate pattern in "toxic femininity" worth exploring psychologically)...but I've never heard this end of such tales...a personal account of a survivor of this type of a family annihilator. At first I thought he found a scrap of paper from The Book of Job, it really is very similar in concept (though it's sadly an oft misunderstood tale). I accept his forgiveness and choice in punishment, that is a very personal decision, and I'm an advocate for survivors adding their voices (including when they **would** prefer the death penalty); it is their pain. So, although I don't hesitate to criticize, I don't hesitate to compliment either, and this story was a good choice and benefitted from your talents -- I that you for that and not adding anything, just letting Terry speak for himself.

Erin Caffey is a psychopath. She DID mastermind the entire thing and she is right where she belongs. In 2012 I lived up the road from Charlie’s parents, until they sold their house and moved, possibly to be closer to where he was serving out his sentence. If you’re interested you should check out the video by The Behavior Panel. They did an in-depth analysis of her interview with Piers Morgan and give their opinions on her involvement.
