Hell Yeah Let's Read is by far my favorite. You should check out Mr.Nightmare he's been around for years and has a great voice as well. Only his videos are short like 12 to 15 minutes but really good. Mostly true stories. Uncle Josh is pretty cool as well.

This is the first time I've heard this version of Lindsey's story. From what I heard, she was unnerved by him. He essentially chased her home where she reluctantly allowed him inside only because her roommates were there. He lured her into his home by claiming he forgot his money to pay for his lessons. I dont recall her being endeared but I guess who knows. I didn't know he was taking online classes though, so I guess that explains why he was familiar with her.

@@LordOfTheRings897 yes, some of those are pretty horrible for sure. The ones in Japan were more mentally and emotionally brutal in the way they hurt the victims, like the one who was forced to hurt her own dad 😭

In a sense, that people don't just get killed and dismembered, so to speak, but there's torture involved. As far as the cases I know, at least, Japanese ones were by far the most horrific. Remembering the junko furuta case specifically, if anyone knows. I don't think I've ever looked into a crime that was worse than this.

I've listened to so many true crimes at this point, they overlap. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the story of Junko, seemed... off. I know she was tortured, but I thought she was found in a barrel with cement, and it was a group of young Yakuza boys who did it. Maybe there are two. Please, let me know. Thank you

You are correct, in Japanese the story is told as: "女子高生コンクリート詰め殺人事件" , or Mesukōsei konkurīto-dzume satsujin jiken" - the second word is "concrete". The four boys were referred to in some places as "chinpira" - similar to an "associate" of a bikie gang - not quite a member yet, but on the way. There is some questions about the incident and premeditation as the boys hung around the same building Junko lived in, but it was reported she just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The full scale of the story is horrific.
