Wow this was an EXCELLENT video. Im always impressed by the wide scope of your analyses and how you see the connections between seemingly unrelated phenomena in the church. Every point you addressed was at one point a true test to my faith in my walk with the Lord, especially the conspiracy and anti-science positions that some modern chirches take. It really is a shame that so many Christians feel the need to distance themselves from the secular world because of a belief in 'hidden knowledge'. The idea that Christians will leave this Earth for a new place when we die and resurrect is such an ingrained notion, but as you point out is entirely un-Biblical. We are called to be stewards of the Earth, not visitors!

However, my purpose in this life is akin to throwing as many lifevests to others as possible such that they may survive the sinking ship. The end will come. And when it does, the believers and unbelievers will be separated. Still, I appreciate RZ's perspective on this. Most Christians who have the most profound impact on this world do not, I suspect, have a premillenial view. Which tells those of us that do, to do better at being the salt and light the other views are in the world (with God's help and empowerment, of course).

YEC is very clearly established in many forms of ancient Judeo-Christian writing such as the epistle of Barnabas (written between AD 70 and 132), or Irenaeus' "Against Heresies" (about AD 180). I’m glad you mentioned the fact that the idea of the rapture is unbiblical. My pastor actually gave a message a few months ago on this very thing, and that though there is evil in this world, we can see through advancements through science, technology, medicine, etc, that life on earth is constantly improving, and that the church is still being spread. No, it is not perfect, but our job is to do as much as we can, as best as we can, and have faith that Jesus is going to come make perfect what we’ve done in His name through faith.

You do realize the bible predicts that the people of future generations will be utterly corrupted by all forms of sin to the point that they will not accept God right? The rapture is supposed to happen during this time, when exactly it will happen we don’t know, only God knows when. That said I would personally guess that it will happen when the world is to stubborn on not hearing the word that it would be pointless to teach. Our reason to exist as Christian’s on earth is to be ambassadors of God, teaching his words to those who had not word them. If everyone heard the word and are actively rejecting it, then I think God would commence the rapture. Again this happens when God says it’s time, we as humans do not know when it will happen.

I have a weird history. I was LDS then became atheist and now after lots of reading, watching and listening to different people I am very interested in becoming Christian (or at the least learning about it). I kinda feel like (wether you believe in it or not) writing off young earth Creationism as “Anti-science” is a bit of an oversimplification. Don’t creationist scientists also do experiments and try to observe and explain the natural world. To me I feel like the main difference between the two opposing views is more one of interpretation rather than that of one being more “scientific”. Hi, I figured I could offer some clarity: it’s considered anti-science because of the methods they use, and that a lot of the evidence is spotty at best. It also usually completely ignores the scientific consensus, which isn’t always right but their hand waving is usually unsupported. For example: the claim I’ve heard about all the different fossils being created in the flood completely ignores the truth that fossilization typically takes thousands to millions of years. Obviously there are exceptions but for it to be at that scale is insane and VERY unlikely. I’m still in my geology undergrad and not a paleo expert so if anyone has some better proof please let me know

Sure science claims it takes millions of years but it’s impossible to actually observe this happen. What we have observed is it happening instantly or very quickly during calamities and such. So which is more scientific? Believing on faith that fossils are formed over millions of years we did not observe? Or believing our observation that we see fossilization happen instantly?

There are specific cases where it can occur instantaneously but I don’t believe those are as common as you think. (Again not a paleontologist so I’d look up some papers but I figured I could give some direction towards what evidence convinced me, I grew up evangelical and YEC)

Generally, to "join" a church, as in to become an official member, there will be something more formal. Our church takes a vote (we all collectively say I or I do not when asked if we want said party as part of our congregation) at the end of service anytime a family wants to officially join. It takes like 30 seconds. But to simply attend, nothing is required. In fact, most churches love visitors and will welcome you warmly. Some may ask you to fill out a visitor card but it's not required.

Fantastic, Antic52! For attending and partaking in a church, just show up. Some of the churches have websites stating their expectations but most don’t. Dressing nicely can’t hurt, but most baptist and nondenominational churches won’t look twice if you’re in khakis or even jeans and a plain tee. As for Communion, most churches will have open communion, but if you end up going to a Lutheran church, you will have to become a member before you can partake. Hope that answered some of your questions!

The Gnostics were less so of an organized heretical group so much as a very broad label of various disconnected heresies in pre-Nicene christianity influenced primarily by Platonism. All the Gnostic heretics were extremely different and varied.

Very interesting that there are influences in this way -- never heard of it in churches I've been to. (Yet, I've always committed to a local churches that always believe in the primary doctrines, solas, and uphold God's Word as His Living Word so I haven't heard of this before. Personally, I feel like when people talk about "hidden knowledge", what they usually mean are occult practices like witchcraft or alchemy. What you are saying, is that having a "desire" to look for truth, which is inherently christian, is herasy? I dont think that is a fair statement. Yes, i know i am wording this harshly, but broken down, it kind of sounded like you were insinuating it to that degree: "Just practice faith and let the wicked run a mock haha". If we look at the canannites, God let them continue to do horrible things, for thier sin had not reached its full potential: He chose to abstain from judgement, because he is patient and he wanted to let the people fullfill thier dark deeds, so he could judge them later on a fair basis. My point beeing: Like it says in the old testament, or even in revalation: Sometimes god will be "passive" for reasons we do not know, nor understand, for then we as the people bear the responsbility to watch out and diminish the evil in this world. In that context, the bible also says, that evil will rise and the days of Noah will come back. I was thinking the same thing on his first point. I’ve done a small dive into the whole secret societies conspiracy. And from most of the Christians perspectives I’ve seen, they came to the conclusion that the secret societies were in fact gnostic, and they tied it all into how the end days and beast system and all the Revelation prophecy will come to pass through these people believing the God of the Bible is bad and Lucifer (what their secret knowledge leads them to) is good. It’s a very compelling belief actually. But the core of it isn’t Christians believing in this secret knowledge, but rather, believing there are many people in this world that do seek out this knowledge through secret societies, and come to the conclusion that Lucifer is the good guy.

As a Gen-Z-er who has recently had a resurgence in my overall faith, I really appreciate how thorough and genuine your videos are. I think that ever-growing mindset about "secret knowledge" and Gnosticism you mention is highly correlated to the proliferation of what I call "Libertarian Bro Culture" and a fallacy of being so based that one "transcends" "flawed" institutions like the Church and justifying personal ego as a triumphant beacon of light rather than an inflated sense of self. As you mention, while we all need to concede the truth about being in a battle of good and evil (and there is most certainly both), the solution is where most are divided. It's not, as you point out and I would agree, to just "pray super hard and have that 1 in a billion relationship with God that 'no one else has but me because I'm above the Church' " and get ascended to Heaven to be save oneself, but rather to work hard to see and spread the good we see and truly make the world more Heaven-like in our own ways (whilst accepting our natural flaw of Original Sin and constantly refining our honest relationship with God and Jesus) . I totally agree about your stance on remembering the main point of the Gospel to make the world better while we are here and uniting over our common love and true adoration for the Lord and Jesus rather than tearing each other down and debating semantics and wanting to be right and condemn others.

This is an awesome video. It is amazing how Gnosticism creeps into the church so subtly. I grew up in a church with some of these soft-core gnostic tendencies, but was very critical of hard core Gnosticism.

The vast majority of this video does not deal with ideas related to Gnosticism, if it had it would be talking about how certain ideas in Baptist, Non-denominational, and SDA doctrine correlate with an evil God creating the world with a good God coming to save us (what Gnosticism is). This video is not about Gnosticism, instead it is a venting video about how one person thinks Non-denominational, Baptist, and SDA are heretical in some aspect and the frustration in how they believe the things they do. The Baptists and Non-denominational (at least, from all that I have seen) do not use hidden knowledge as an advertisement, instead they advertise a specific and holistic way of reading the very Bible you (Redeemed Zoomer) think says another thing using a different methodology (based on man-made tradition in contrast to that of those prior mentioned churches).

With all due respect, I find nowhere in the Bible that Christ is returning three times. He will return for the Second Coming and we will be caught up, there will be no rapture of some believers, but of all believers at the very end. From what I heard him (Redeemed Zoomer) say, he has a point. Not all Baptist and SDA churches are radical fundamentalist and anti-science, but in a way they look like gnostics that have found secret knowledge. No matter what, I won't judge them and will continue to love them and pray for them. I respect and appreciate their zeal and perseverance, something I can learn from them and many others. God bless. Edit: I was influenced by their teaching that it is not worth to do anything for this world but to save yourself like it is a sinking ship (world). As far as really famous pastors go, he’s talked about how nearly all of them are baptist or highly influenced by baptist theology, so he wouldn’t recommend them too much. He has a video on his thoughts of some famous theologians including Tim Keller and NT Wright. For KZbinrs, he’s recommended Jordan Cooper (Lutheran) and Gavin Ortlund (Baptist). The living celebrity pastor he likes the most is probably Voddie Baucham except for one significant issue (subordination of the Son)

Hello. I really appreciate your work here. I get a lot out of your perspectives. I just wanted to point one thing out if I may: I can’t wait to see your take on the Rapture being unBiblical, but I’ve never heard anyone act like we shouldn’t continue trying to reach the world because we feel the Rapture is close. I speculate that may be a new idea being advanced today, but I’ve only known people to talk about the importance of getting even MORE active in spreading the Gospel the closer everything appears to be getting towards the end. However long that may still be, the signs of the times definitely show that the world isn’t currently headed anywhere good, so the sense of urgency in spreading the Gospel increases rather than dwindles. That’s been my personal experience, so that’s not to say spreading the Gospel HASN’T diminished because of the Rapture view. I just haven’t personally picked up on anyone having the idea of ceasing the mission.

I need to go watch the specific rapture video and see if he addresses the 7 years of tribulation, but my upbringing was that there would be a pre-tribulation rapture, and we would come back down with Christ at his second coming after the tribulation. Nothing about looking to be snatched off of Earth or viewing it as a sinking ship at all. If anything maybe it's just an attractive idea that those of us who follow Christ wouldn't have to be here for having to choose between taking the mark of the beast vs starving to death, widespread persecution and execution of Christians to make us deny Jesus, etc. Not gonna lie I wouldn't mind missing all that myself, but finally at 40 I'm digging more deeply into this stuff and finding that some of the eschatology I was told as a kid may not be strictly Biblical.

One of the misrepresentations of a pre-trib rapture is that the church merely escapes Earth. The second part is in Revelation 20 when they return with Christ to reign with him on Earth for the millennium. I'm not sure what I believe will happen, but either way, yes the Church is guaranteed tribulations in this world and charged to work for the Kingdom on Earth, not promised that if they hide they'll escape.

How it is to our benefit is that God says "I will go down and see" the situation in Sodom and Gamorrah. The conversation for Abraham was for our sake. God will not bring HIS wrath upon the innocent. So pre-trib rapture makes the most sense. While there is some gnostic ideation that has stayed in the modern churches, the big thing about Gnosticism is that it is the religion of this world. Part of Gnosticism is often being hand in hand with esoteric and occult practices. This is why Catholics like myself are forbidden to interact with freemasonry, but really any christian with discernment would be highly distrusting of these closed societies saying they have only the best in mind for the world when it comes to their machinations. If you keep thinking purely logically you will arrive at all the same conclusions as Christians. Though the trinity breaks this pattern which we believe is illogical. Thus, we also believe that those who follow the trinity are polytheists, because God would not expect us to understand something so Illogical in out Universe.

Pre trib does have good arguments however. God invites Abraham to reason with him by stating he will go down and see the state of Sodom and Gamorrah. God doesn't need to go see, he already knows. This is proven when the angels are 'saved' by Lot and reveal they were sent to destroy Sodom and Gamorrah, not investigate them. But the conversation is instructive, as is Lot's salvation. Genesis 18:22 Abraham approached him and said, “Will you sweep away both the righteous and the wicked? 24 Suppose you find fifty righteous people living there in the city-will you still sweep it away and not spare it for their sakes? 25 Surely you wouldn’t do such a thing, destroying the righteous along with the wicked. Bring transformed in the twinkling of an eye sounds much more palatable than a lingering aging and death over months, years. Given the fascination with post apocalyptic survival, I think many *think* they could withstand the tribulation, but are very soft. Myself included. That said , Arabahams conversation with God on Sodom and Gomorrah, Lot being brought out of the city and Noah all state and demonstrate God's wrath will not fall on the innocent. We suffer the curse of the world now as a consequence, but the tribulation is his wrath. God told Abraham and us he would not pour out his wrath on the innocent, which we are made through the blood of the lamb.

The truth is that in the early church Gnostic ideas were very widespread and common, and they are several references to these ideas from the apostles himself. John specifically says that Jesus did do much that trying to fill a book with it would be impossible, so who’s to say Jesus didn’t teach certain principles to his disciples in private small groups ( it specifically mentions Jesus taking James, John, and Philip aside). In the end, even though I’m a Gnostic, I still am a Christian. Read the Book of Two Principles (Cathar Gnostic literature) and it lays out the logic for a dualistic belief of God and other theological principles. The author is extremely well read and uses the Bible well to articulate and provide evidence. I don’t feel like I’m a heretic.

Being Catholic is pretty fun around conspricy theorists. This one guy i worked with listened to Alex Jones and told me "man you shouldnt follow the pope, alex jones said hes the liberal head of the new world order. I proceeded to quote francis on gay marriage, trans gender ideology, the ukraine war, abortion, and women in ministry. I was like so what makes him liberal? His response was death penalty and the vaccine. Like give me a break. Fine. Because he doesnt want to execute criminals if theres another option and said no country should be denied the vaccine if they want it, hes the head of the new world order. Sometimes people want something to be true so bad they ignore all evidence to the contrary. Alex Jones softened his stance on catholics when we got targeted by the FBI for domestic terrorism. Joe Rogan, Bill Maher, Sam tripoli and eddie bravo are all conspiracy theory styled comedians and ALL of them say the most erroneous stuff about the catholic church.... it really makes me cringe. It makes me question how much they really look into the counter information before they start believing one of their theories.

I know in Roman Catholicism it's considered sinful to be a Freemason on the grounds that it is part of the occult. The Knights of Columbus exists as a catholic alternative to Freemasonry. The Knights of Malta are a Catholic fraternity recognized by Masons as "masonic", though it predates the modern day Freemason lodges. Freemasonry was big amongst mainline protestants during the founding of the USA and it is pretty big in the UK as well.

What I'm wondering is, even by our Protestant standards, _is_ Freemasonry sufficiently Christian enough to get involved in? As far as I know, the only entry requirement for the regular Lodges is belief in _some_ higher power, so is it just more Gnostic heresy...?

@@Zakanuva Don't join it. It has the gnostic traditions of secret knowledge as a baseline, as to advance in rank is to have gained "secret knowledge" and performance of certain rites and rituals. Further, it is open to all who believe in higher powers, which means you could end up with Satan worshipers (Church of Satan for example) as a part of your lodge.

I don't disbelieve that the end times will happen or the government is shady, but I also don't blindly trust people making suck claims. Could you make a video explaining Cathar heresy? As soon as you mentioned gnosticism and believing this world is evil i was instantly reminded of Cathars. I watched a video on Real crusades history on the Albigencian crusade, but it was mostly focused on, well, crusading and not in depth on what they actually believed. I'm only interested to hear from a genuine Christian channels and not all those lefstists claiming crusades = bad therefore everyone who got crusaded is good.

So he's not the best source to really quote from in my opinion not as bad as some others but still.

I believe in a pre Wrath rapture but am open to being wrong but the problem is that you are confusing the pre trib rapture which came about in the 1800s, pre Wrath lines up with the more coherent views on the Day of the Lord and great Tribulation that Amil folk like to say happened in 70AD which is hard to reconcile with Scripture. Again, I'm open to being persuaded but many things need to be glossed over to say that we are in the millennium now.

I find that Pre-mil makes the most sense especially when taking in the "types" of salvation we see; Noah and his family were taken out of the flood Lot was taken out of Sodom and Gamorrah And Abraham even addresses the issue directly with God; Gen 18:24 24 Suppose you find fifty righteous people living there in the city-will you still sweep it away and not spare it for their sakes? 25 Surely you wouldn’t do such a thing, destroying the righteous along with the wicked.
