Your truck stories remind me of one of Dad’s favorites. Said he met this blowhard bragging about his farm. The guy says, I get up in the morning…drive all day and I don’t get to the other side of my property. Dad responds, “I used to have a truck like that “. His style of delivery for his story made for a good laugh 😆

Proper pre trip every day and checking tire pressure will keep the mpgs up along with a good preventative maintenance plan. Also good trip planning so you can maintain a speed rather than running fast because your not sure what time you’ll get there. Like you said drive easy. I believe it was Bruce Mallinson who wrote years ago on RPM magazine “ Drive the truck like you get an egg under the pedal” .

That's right! Those are all good things. It's 100 different small things that make good fuel mileage. I remember when Bruce said that.

If I was doing something illegal, I would go right at the speed limit so as not to draw attention to myself. He was a nice guy and gave me a clean level two inspection, so it worked out in the end.

@ 🤣 probably because… That’s what happens when you text by voice. I meant probable cause….. from from what I’ve seen in Police videos. It’s better to speed with everyone else instead of driving the speed limit because that’s suspicious, which makes no sense because I always drive the speed limit even in my car, but I play bait car and I’m ready for that… I hope they do.
