Hello! Deirdre your videos are so helpful to me. You are so friendly. I love your hairstyle! I am 5’4” shortwaisted, rectangular shape. I side tuck my shirts into my midrise pants. You just grab the sideseam of one side of your shirt and slide it inside the side of your pants! The diagonal shape the shirt makes across your pants gives a bit of waist and a bit of neatness!

I didn’t like it even as a teenager…I feel like Daisy Duke😂 However the last method you showed does not make me cringe like the other! I will definitely be trying that as a layer for the winter! I've also seen some tucking methods that involve using the belt loops on your jeans but this seems impractical to me, since you have to redo it every time you go to the bathroom. Your suggestions are great! 😊❤

Front tucks look great from the front if you have a tummy -but turn sideways and there it is. Ugh.

I totally get what you mean. However, sideways, the attention is also drawn to the back, where the shirt will hang out and therefore balance the front a little bit. XX

After losing almost 30 pounds in 11 months ( which at 60 was not easy) I still have some belly due to my scar that goes from one side to the other. I will do a side tuck with certain pants that show my belly. Or i will gather inside my shirt at one side to make another effect that I like.

This stupid tucks would not be necessary if shirts still had darts and hugged the area from under boob to waist. The manufacturers did away with darts because they were more expensive to produce.
