My first motorcycle was a Yamaha YDS2. 250cc with the 5 speed trans. I paid $125 for it in 1964 with a stripped spark plug in one cylinder. Took it off and down to the local Harley mechanic and he hellicoiled the plug hole for 4 or 5 dollars. Reassembled with no new gaskets and it ran great. 12000 rpm in 1st gear. A great fast lite bike in its day. Thanks for the memories.

My dad had that bike when I was 11. I used to hill climb on it. We'd ride 2 up to the trails and he'd watch me hill climb until it fouled one cylinder then we'd ride it home. Lots of memories there for me as both the bike and my dad are long gone.

He is good in saying about the 200cc Twin Yamaha slow motorcyle. He said one person sit on the Yamaha motorcycle at the same time he push the motorcycle while it is on 1st and 2nd gear either one. That save time into my heart the motor and his starter. Everywhere you run at same time pushing the handlebar then jump up and sit on the seat of the Yamaha and press first gear and let go the left side hand handle. That is called starter button except HaoSen TaoTao that built all the best starter motors in all over the world and don't get RIP OFF in Harley-Davidson..

The point have lobe for distribute shaft carries the lobe few lobes. You did saw the press spring push the point into closed circuit. The lobe reverse the direction of the push until the opened circuit by lobe alternating. The two spark plugs of twin cylinders enclosed of bores and stroke 200cc will automatic fire same time. The power stroke of both cylinder Twin combustion chamber is fire/boom. That's the Yamaha's way and it helps to win right in the Starting line to the lead of the pack = the highest acceleration.

Onve you remove the main jet take off the washer and screw just the main back in and you can tap out the other part of the main jet. Will only come out through the top where the slides usually are. Those get clogged to some times. Just make site you put it back in the right way, they have a pin that aligns with a slot. You need to invest in a impact driver for those side cover bolts. They take away all worrys about stripping

It's important for the carburetor slides to fit the way they were designed to and when dirt gets in and wears them, they must be replaced. Sanding them or using any abrasive on them can cause the same condition. I always use solvents to loosen them up and if prying is needed, I use a plastic or wooden drift / centering tool.
