i'm gonna need someone to really explain to me how baron's brew is even remotely bad. It's a multipot chalice that costs the same as 3 multipots instead of double like hp chalice does. AND the healing stacks with hp pots or chalice

It's less potent than health potions, which is very important in the first few levels. The only good thing is that it's cost effective. If you've got 200 gold with your starting items, one could argue that the brew and a health potion is optimal just for the sake of rapid regen. It being a multipot is not particularly useful since you're starting with the blue buff, giving you all of the mana regen you'll need for the first few minutes, you're not so mana hungry that you'll run out before wanting to go back to buy your first fully upgraded item. It's not a bad item, but circumstances make it not as useful as it could be. I think it's far better in conquest than in duel.

@@CottidaeSEA I don't know why, but for the longest time, I thought that, if allies are consuming Baron's brew they apply hysteria to any enemy they damage so Baron can deal bonus damage to them. Is this a mandala effect or something or did it used to do that earlier and got nerfed? IDK

Brew is definitely not bad, it stacks with healing pots and refills for free, pretty cost effective if you’re going with a chalice and brews and not planning on buying wards

smite 1 baron's brew is probably not very good in duel but in modes where you don't have constant access to a blue buff its reasonably good. its cheap enough to buy at the start of the game compared to health chalice which you usually have to buy later when it might no longer be worth the money. the brew falls off late game but it's only really an issue once you start running out of consumable slots and by then you should have gotten plenty of value from it

i mean- if we talk value wise- using 3 multi pots costs 150, so basically if you back just once you already getting double the value from baron brew? yeah it takes up a pot slot but- so does chalice? and with chalice you reach the same type of value after 4 backs- so i dont get why people are saying baron brew is bad even if it sells for 0 gold, just 2 backs and you already made back your money

Sam, Baron's brew is just a more efficient health chalice (in terms of money spent to pots received). Except you have to fill two complete health chalices before it breaks even, whereas the brew breaks even right from the start. I think especially for your playstyle, brew is just an obvious pickup, because later in the game you tend to buy a health chalice and a bunch of mult-pots to walk around anyways. You don't buy wards, and you tend to pop power pots in the fountain anyways, so there is nothing else that you need that slot for

Just wrong on the barons brew take IMO. If we are talking about duel I see Sam buying chalices for twice the price and saying it’s a good deal but a multi pot chalice for half the price is bad because “it takes up a slot”? What are you using it for in duel if not for potions? It’s also much more valuable in the early game for other modes as it’s a free 3 multi pots every time you back. At the end of the game when you need multiple slots that 150 isn’t all that important but in the beginning if you are buying pots against a baron you’ll consistently be behind in gold

Sam if you dont buy wards it would be Chalice + free better purples^^, the brew gives more hp and mana than purple pots at the price of 3 purple pots^^ Still thank you for still playing smite, other streamers kind of quitted;/ Ps: I tested on a bot game and you can still sell the brew. Ok three unrelated comments 1. You only built 40% CD because you got regrowth instead of breastplate 2. Barons brew is great. I see you spend so much gold on multipots in duel I don’t see why you wouldn’t want three refillable multi pots for the cost of three regular ones. The argument for taking up a slot makes sense in conq because of wards but in duel what do you need the slot for? 3. I like smite 1 poly more. Like you said, you already want to auto cancel on pretty much every character already. Having the internal CD forced you to think a bit more about how you rotate your abilities for maximum damage. I like that because it makes it feel more impactful.

Idk I think you're kinda off on the brew take. You say "it takes up one of your spots" but so does a health chalice, you also phrased that argument as if you dont get brew refreshed every back. Really you should say "would you rather have 3 multipots that are once use, or 150 gold for infinite pots". Also who cares if you use up a slot? When is the last time you bought a ward in duel? It's also a multi pot so you can stack it on normal health chalice/pot. It's also 150 gold compared to 300. It's not the greatest item in the game, but the value for 150 gold is pretty huge and I don't think it's fair to deny that
