Great educational video! I came out last year to close friends of mine. I'm married to a woman who I love deeply. For me, I've been exploring more and more (increasingly over the years that I might be a trans lesbian). Even as I began exploring that possibility, and had Second Life relationships (while using a female avatar) with women, and started to come so naturally when so many other types of romantic and sexual relationships, it was so awkward that we couldn't find much chemistry. I started becoming more confident in my sense of style, finding ways to match neckties which my unit manager said ("it's like if women wore neckties more often"), and complimented by how hot it gets in my unit (it's a hospital, and if you aren't in scrubs, management, or attending a meeting, it's pretty office casual), I've been carefully matching shoes (or boots) with socks, pants (often corduroy, and sometimes chino), with button-ups (with the collar flared, and the top two buttons open). The shirts are sometimes small prints, sometimes cords (I love the texture and play with the different size wale), sometimes these really nice solids that I get from Muji (I'm drifted from oxford white to a slightly off white soft cotton), and MANY plaids. Flannels. Ginghams. Plaid prints. I'm letting my Celtic heritage (and inner lesbian) sing loudly with how many tartans I utilize. In the fall, I tend to just go through all kinds of stores, browsing through flannels of different tartans, and thicknesses. I'm even growing my hair out, and had to start wearing it in a ponytail bun because I didn't want it touching my surgical masks or N95. There are a bunch of LGBTQ coworkers, and some women on my floor who I'm close with and I think may be under the umbrella. There's one who I often exchange music recommendations with We really hit a sweet spot with 90's siger/songwriters, and when I mentioned Sophie B. Hawkins, she mentioned the single I was thinking of "Damn, I Wish I was Your Lover". We talked Indigo Girls, and I got her into Sara Bareilles without exactly leading her directly to "Brave". Eventually, I asked her why she said that that Sophie B. Hawkins song was something that she considered her anthem growing up. She played coy about it, and I explained how I was so into it way back when, and that interest's also been teaching me more about myself. She was like "You know that she's a lesbian, right?", and I told her that I've been exploring the possibility of... And formed my hands into a "T". We're just starting to talk more about this common queerness, and one of her first questions, (though while also trying not to pry) was asking what genders I'm attracted to. I told her women, and I haven't found a guy that I' could be comfortable with. She (a divorced mom) agreed. She isn't always that keen on celebrities, so sometimes, I ask her if she knows who this person or that person is. I've explained a handful of women who I've crushed on since before knowing that they were LGBTQ, and even now fantasize about being a woman that that they're with. Sailor Neptune. Cat Cora. Dominique Crenn (I watched Iron Chef America every Sunday while at University), and Maria Bello especially. I first remember seeing Bello as bar owner in Coyote Ugly, and then saw her on ER as Del Amico and developed such a crush. Even some straight women who played really strong women who were also sensitive and nurturing (like Victoria Pratt and Renee O'Connor). Hearing that Bello and Crenn are now an item, I was like "Whoa...". This co-worker isn't on social media, and is middle management where they need to be tough when need be, and it's still a very macho department. Finding time to have heart to hearts is sporadic, but I really do feel so happy that I can talk about this with her. I've opened up to some straight coworkers, and LGBTQ+ people who identify more as guys, but there's something often more relatable with my queer female friends.

Dutchy idk if you remember this but you liked one of my comments on Instagram about me and my long distance gf. We actually broke up, today would’ve been our two month but it was for the best because of some mental stuff and we both would rather be in a short distance relationship. ❤️ I may or may not be watching this to find out how to exude gay vibes to all the girls at my high school next year. 😂 also thank you for everything including answering some of my dm’s, making content that makes me feel wanted and included, and just supporting every sexuality and every person regardless or gender or race
