I mean it can be confusing at first. I am bi, but I first thought I was lesbian. I was attracted to girls and never to boys. But then in middle school I was attracted to a boy. But you don’t have to like both genders 50/50. U can prefer one gender over the other. You can still be bi.

I label myself as slightly bisexual+ (leaning more towards women). Growing up, I thought a slight sexual attraction to men was normal, and then I learned that it wasn’t. So, a month after I realized this, I came out on the last day of school. I had a mini-concert where a lot of my peers showed up. I played guitar and sang a song about my sexuality. It was a song called “Should I Come Out Of The Closet.” Everyone was very supportive of it.

Then there’s the bi-cycle where your percentage of attraction fluctuates. I have times where I’m 50/50 then maybe a week later I will be 70/30 in preference of men then maybe a week later I will be 70/30 in preference of women then the next week I may be 50/50. It messes with my head at times but I’m pretty much used to it by now. The first time I experienced this I went 90/10 in preference of men and I started freaking out thinking that I was gay so that meant that my marriage would have to end and such but then it shifted to around 50/50 like the day after I told my friend about this. I then knew that nope! Still bi! 😳💖💜💙

I’m 100% in love with my best friend. She’s the first and only girl I’ve ever had feelings for. Everyone I’ve talked to (online only no one in my life knows of this) has told me that if we’re such good friends it shouldn’t be an issue for me to tell her how I feel. I really appreciate you and this video. I used to be so ashamed of my attraction toward women, especially since I was raised in a more religious household. Recently I’ve come out to three friends about my bisexuality, as well as my parents. My mom actually told me ‘I can see that’. I took a sigh of relief. I don’t feel as suffocated as I used to. I’ve never had feelings toward my friends growing up, but I have had feelings for girls I’ve talked to online. It’s still a little confusing, and I’m okay with that. I am actually engaged to a man who has also been figuring out his sexuality, so it has been a journey of self acceptance for both of us. We are both very open/open-minded people; that’s one of the many reasons why I’m so happy to call myself his future wife. 🖤 And thank you for reiterating that sexuality is fluid, and that you don’t have to be exactly this, or exactly that. Sometimes I forget and try to place myself into a box, which only stresses me out more. This has helped me feel a little freer. ☺️

Honestly, I love your videos and they are so helpful, especialy this one. I have always questioned my sexuality since I have never been attracted to guys, until I began to realise I was attacted to girls. Lately, I have been questioning if I am a lesbian or I may be Bi, since I do like girls, but on the very rare occasions, I would admire a guy (example would be someone like Tom Holland, I know basic choice 😂), but more in a "I would want to be like your friend or best friend" kind of way and nothing more. The point you make in the beginning explaining that you don't have to label yourself is something that really speaks to me. When I try to label stuff, I feel like I end up over analyzing my emotions and reactions to people and then I feel like I end up trying to use my head to decide my attraction instead of my heart. Dutchy I just want to say how much I love and appreciate you. When I was figuring out my sexuality I looked up a title to one of my questions here on KZbin and the first video was yours so I clicked it and I'm so happy I did. You helped me figure out a lot. I've come very far from what I used to be. I have a very homophobic family however I'm in a gsa/saga club at my school and went to my first protest against lgbt discrimination last week. 2 days ago I went to my first pride with my small gsa/saga group of 3 other students and out advisor and I had the time of my life. I'm not out yet. But I got my flag!!!! It's hung up in my room!!! My mom's not hapy but I am. I lied a little so yes I'm still in the closet but one day❤❤

All of my friends and I kiss and hug each other and tell each other that we love them all the time but when my bestfriend Chanelle hugs or kisses me it doesn’t feel the same. When she kisses me my whole world stops and I never want our hugs to end. I love her with all my heart. Whenever I’m not around her I can’t focus, but whenever she is with me I can’t take my eyes of her. I’ve told her how I feel and she has told me that she would support and love me no matter how I liked. The problem is I cant tell if I feel this way about her because she is my bestfriend or if I have feelings for her in any other way. I’m so confused

Samee. While I've never really had friends who always give hugs and kisses, I always feel some type of way when only my best friend hugs me (she's bi). Ever since we were younger I remember never wanting to let go and I just felt some sort of bliss when we held hands, hugged, cuddled, or even when she said she loved me. What's more is that I usually hate physical contact with anyone else but her. She also kissed me on the cheek once, in January, so painfully casually. I just stood there shocked like "bruh how can you do this to me, I'm sensitive" lol. No offense or anything but I always wondered how girls can just platonically kiss each other lol I could never. But I'm still questioning if I even like her, or even if I'm bi myself, since Im not sure if we're compatible enough to actually date irl, but theoretically I would if she also liked me.

I just told my parents I’m bi and they said that I am who I am and that she still loves me the same and to keep it to myself for a while because it might evolve and I could stay or go either way (be straight or gay) but I’m still not 100% sure if I want to because I have a boyfriend but I also have a girl crush idk what to do and I don’t 100% know if I am bi but I like both genders
